QUOTE(failed.hashcheck @ Jun 3 2015, 10:16 AM) Should be until end of lifetime of product. But then the confusion is win10 would be based on rolling release so there is no clear way to define its life cycle. Could it be... forever? I am sure MS will find ways to suck your money. Bet on it. Anyway, i have a question: Can i reserve all my PCs/laptops using a single e-mail?? Later they give me only 1 license to upgrade....

Last night tried to update my lappy from 8.1--> Win 10.
Used the trick to forced it update (wuauctl.exe /updatenow). It manages to download but when install, hit an error 8xxxx002 something. Done twice, give up.
Anyone has this problem??

QUOTE(cjxs @ Jul 31 2015, 10:28 AM) Hi all, My experience on Upgrading to Win 10. 1. Using the normal Windows Update but no luck...indicate Failed error code 80240020.2. Tried delete the Sofware distribution folder files and command prompt to start download. Windows 10 downloading but failed again. 3. Use the Media Creation Tool and try create a USB bootable installer but can not detect my flash drive. 4. Change to Upgrade this PC and Something Happened pop out. haizzzz. Now after reading this forum.. I will try to change the Language and see how it goes. If it is still not working then I bring my laptop to Thunder Match and see how much they charge for the upgrading service. Same here. Did you turn on your Anti-virus? I think can try that. Gonna try turn off my anti-virus and upgrade again tonight.

QUOTE(stevensys @ Jul 31 2015, 11:19 AM) i have the same issue, and finally success yesterday. here what i did for my Win8.1. 1. download the ISO to the PC using the mediacreation tools. 2. Make sure check your windows version is the same as what ISO you're downloading. 3. install and use ISO opener and extract to a folder at your pc. 4. run setup from the folder. 5. if you encounter it ask for Product Key, meaning you downloaded a wrong version. 6. during install it will check for uncompatible software and it will ask you to remove it. for my case i have to uninstall symantec antivirus. See...virus scanner is the culprit! But if no internet security, how? Don't feel safe.
