OK, I'll ask again.
How do I root the OPO with stock ROM, i.e. without flashing any recovery file? Like the CFRoot I used to do with my Samsung phone?
*
You need to be at 25r (or 30, forgot) to be able to do reboot recovery.
After that update, bl need to be unlocked, flashed custom recovery to root.

Yea always been the case. Ram not use is wasted ram. In fact u use more battery if u keep opening apps and clearing the ram.

This issue has been discussed since forever. (on xda and many other sites)
You will consume more battery when you keep killing the app/task then reopen it back.
But still thanks for sharing. smile.gif

yeah. everyday is a new discovery for me. just migrated to android after few years using windows n ios phone tongue.gif

next stop is to learn how to flash custom rom...

any idea which rom to use for best battery life? my OPO only can last for 22 hrs of usage before it begs for a recharge, even with the 'powersave' power scheme

hello fellow dotard laugh.gif laugh.gif

yes, you shouldnt keep killing apps with task manager. in fact, use the RAM at its best. critical apps running on background, such as tasker, bootmanager, etc needs to be kept running. unless u know how to kill certain annoying apps like facebook

Android is smart enough to manage the ram and kill task/app when needed.
There's no "best" as most are good. Just pick the one YOU prefer and flash it. Long battery life can be achieved when you starr tweaking around wink.gif (mostly kernel side) and control wakelocks.

with glass SP, my OnePlus screen sensitivity is alright to me. Im not sure about this, maybe just coincidental, but after i use the Liv Dark CM11 theme, my Oneplus tends to wake in my pocket, on its own.. luckily i disable the torchlight gesture long time ago, but there was once i checked that i have a twitter tweet 'draft' with gibberish text.. probably because of the screen wake in my pocket.. before i use the theme and since the 30O update, no such issue..

it's probably ridiculous to link a theme with screen sensitivity though, haha

nope, already 33R.. what i meant was since 30O update until 33R and before installing the Liv theme..

i'll try experiment see if using other themes have any better results.. it's not as bad as pre 30O ..

but i find the notion that the theme can affect screen sensitivity to be far fetched though biggrin.gif

or maybe it's a sign my pants are getting tighter instead sad.gif
