will it be a problem for me to use this phone if i don't know a single thing about rooting and custom roms? , if there was a problem with the software , that is.

No extraordinary knowledge needed to use OPO. Just play it as a normal Android phone.

Then after a while, if you're willing to go for more, you can just read steps and guides from forum. From my point of view, although the phone is not available to the world like Samsung phones, but the dedicated developers and users community as a whole are BIG, so if you got into trouble, there's always pakcik Google to help

Just think of it as buying a car, u can buy a stock car and drive or modify it with bigger rims, exhaust, turbo etc. Nothing wrong with driving it standard.

its just like any other smartphone such as iphone, galaxy, etc...

consider rooting and custom rom as extra benefit. you can don't bother with them. when you think u r ready, then just read up. but otherwise, you can use the phone like a normal regular phone.

benefit... i say that coz i think OnePlus is currently the only phone company that don't void warranty when you root/ flash. but this is officially only for the 10 countries its launched in la...

Just want to ask.

If i use stock rom and rooted and flashed with custom kernel and other mods, say if i want to do advanced wipe everything including internal memory, data and etc in twrp to return to original factory defaults rom, the custom things i flashed previously will still exist?

I mean when i flashed all those custom things, does it modify the stock rom permanently until i reflash back the original image to replace the custom mods?
