Same as Asrock also laa, it is AMD fault, check this if you read Mandarin For those who dont read Mandarin, basically AMD has released a new Agesa 1.0.0.4a code which will improved booting time & able to support full 4xddr4@2666mhz, mobo manufactures should able to provide new bios. However for my Asrock K4 i don't see the booting time is improve enough, still quite slow, just that now able to use 4xDDR4@2666mhz, i'm happy

actually for asrock, they already patched the microcode to 1.0.0.4 in newest bios, but due to some error, some utility like hwinfo still report old version.

To be honest i'm not really concerns about the booting time, few second slower is ok, hence i'm not purposely modify the bios setting to get it boot faster, and ya in fact the newest microcode 1.0.0.4a was builtin to the latest bios last week if not mistaken.
Hmm any Sifu here mind share what are the available RAM in the market that can run 3200mhz for Ryzen rig? i know Class 14 Samsung B-Die, just it's not always there if you want to buy it online~ and not all Retail outlet sales person can really tell you which RAM is that, any cheaper variant other than Tridentz~
In fact there is no guarantee even the motherboard manufacturers stated it under their QVL list, currently the only RAM that specifically tuned for AMD Ryzen is GSkill FlareX which may have high chance but too bad not available locally.
guys, i bought one stick corsair vengeance lpx 2666mhz, in the near future if i were to buy another stick of the same ram. will it run as dual channel?
U might have compatibility issue as usually manufacturer will test the ram in pair (for dual channel) & 4pcs kit (for quad channel) ensure it can run in XMP setting.
It is, the problem isn't due to our falling currency only. The price of desktop RAM has been steadily increasing, more so from last year. This is due to RAM chip makers are changing from making desktop RAM to making smartphone RAM, because of more demand...
Yup, basically 2 reasons, our ringgit depreciation & demand of DRAM, last year i sold my Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000mhz 4x4gb@RM500 & Kingston Predator 3000mhz 4x4gb@RM450
Yeah, kinda frustrated to see the price is significantly higher already. They mentioned that there is no indication of the price getting any lower in the near future as desktop sales is still on downward trend. Now, 2x 4GB normal RAM is already more than RM300...which makes it more sad

Beside story, many review of detail in gaming, that's actually a benefit of ryzen, which not suddenly fps spike as high latency of frame as i7 7700k, even old intel also didnt get spike, its weird for these year's intel.

finnaly done assemble today ... managed to pass aida 3.8@1.25v, max temp 83 under aida with stock cooler. ram corsair lpx led 3000kit only managed to 2666 under soc 1.2. seems need grab a 3rd party cooler for try higher clock.

If u have budget why not? But if u thinkng to get the 3rd party cooler just try anything higher than 3.9hgz i advise u just keep the money, the heat generated can't handled by air cooler
I think 3rd party cooler can handle roughly 1.4v only, more than that need really extreme water cooling system, because AIO system which performance better than D15 need almost twice price of it @@
Yup, i think to keep money as well, coz 200mhz really will benefit me? It's the problem XD But, something pushing me to try out my chip can done 4.0 ghz by 1.4 or below? But in exchange, i need throw more budget to just try the 200mhz @@
But i think i maybe will hold the budget for upcoming vega, may get better cooling system in future ryzen 2nd gen XD Seems more promising =w=
Push the wraith spire cooler to max speed if u just want to try you cpu limit, watercooling is best but easily cost you spend more than your entire system, just like me spend nearly 10K just for WC

So far what I read, even water-cooled, most can only reach 4.1GHz but still require high voltage. I think no point spend too much just for that 200MHz extra, as it that extra voltage and heat.
I think I'll OC to 4.0GHz, screenshot it for show-off, then back to comfortable speed that wont generate extra heat. As you manually OCed, it's on all cores. WC more like cooling with money My entry level custom water cooling easily cost me 1.7K already, but I guess it's long term investment. Now waiting for beautiful ( cough*RGB*cough ) compatible water block
I treat WC as a hobby that's why i willing to spend so much money to keep upgrading it. As for RGB waterblock so far as i know only Thermaltake Pacific W4, other big brands like EK, Bitspower or Watercool still didn't heard any news to produce RGB waterblock yet but i believe they will released very soon as now RGB is become trendy for PC world.

I'm in this hobby more than 10 years ago. Why i said it is hobby? Bcos i will always change the parts, the loop design, casing so that can accommodate more things and large radiators, but i'm going to stop for while since i already change to the largest casing (Thermaltake WP100) few months ago, very satisfying at the moment
If hardworking enough, build WC for others, earn side income for hobby spending
Most of my friends who having same hobby stay in other states, i will help them design, recommend parts & sometimes help them order the parts, just want to influence more peoples in their build
