curious
since pcie 4.0 =2x pcie 3.0

does that mean you can run two
16x pcie 3.0 on x570
since 8x pcie 4.0= 16x pcie 3.0???
*
Total PCIe lanes provided by X570 PCH + CPU is 24 40, regardless of PCIe 3.0 or 4.0.
Max 16 lanes for GPU, so it will be either x16 or x8 dual cards.

👍🏼
all u had to say the link multiplier is fixed regardless
of pcie gen.

if this is da case looks like got to wait for thread-ripper 3xxx. not enough bandwidth for all my hdd/ssd and nvme.
cause all are pcie 3.0 nvme..

Looks like memory latency issue is finally solved with the new Ryzen, AIDA64 scores are now similar to Intel.

Also, i was wrong about the total PCIe lanes provided by the whole system, should be 40x.

leaks suggest Ryzen 5 3600 beats i7 8700K in performance: https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-5-3600-zen-2...ce-performance/

if true, then the 15% IPC uplift is really kicking in and kicking intel in the nuts. if not, then daily reminder that leaks are 75% wrong

Should easily get you 6 core 12 threads Ryzen 3 with much higher clock speed, similar if not better IPC brows.gif

No such thing as Ryzen 1 and 2.

There's Zen, Zen+ and now Zen2 for architecture, models categories are Ryzen 3, 5, 7 and 9.

That's why the info. cool2.gif I blame AMD for the confusing naming convention.
