More like embarrassing Intel
If that's embarassing then you should also say it's equally embarassing for AMD itself since the Ryzen 3 outperforms their RM 2,599 Ryzen 7 1800X on the exact same chart you show.

Look through the chart again - more embarassing for AMD actually IF we go from where you're coming from.

Also I've personally tested Ryzen 3 1200 at 3.1Ghz, 3.8Ghz and vs Ryzen 7 1800X using GTX 1080 card on Tomb Raider too but at 1440P, no difference in result.

So yeah, it's case by case and Ryzen is generally unable to compare to Intel processors when it comes to pushing graphics card 1080 and above, still fast but not the maximum.

-----------

On the other hand real-world work tests you'll see the Ryzen 3 indeed can perform as good as Core i5 models.

Yup it's that amazing. Love them Ryzen 3.

Wow performance better than ryzen 7 as well, omg!
That's overclocked settings, not every model can reach 4Ghz.

I got to 3.9Ghz on 1300X, 3.8Ghz on 1200.

Is there any ryzen 3 benchmark for gta5?
I didn't test it as GTAV I've dropped it from my benchmarks already BUT I can tell you that the Ryzen 3 would be like the Ryzen 5 and some Ryzen 7 - bottlenecks a GTX 1080 on GTAV.

biggrin.gif But well that's an overclocked kau kau processor.

Anyway if you're purely gaming, I'd say go Intel. Best to push graphics card.

If you do streaming or work, Ryzen's good. That's not to say Ryzen is bad for gaming, losing a few frames is a good compromise for speed of getting work done, sez my video + gaming rig.

Been having frustrating flickering issue on my 1 month old AOC Agon AG322FCX
I've done everything I could think of:
1. Rolling back to old drivers, even as old as drivers from April this year
2. Uninstall the monitor driver & use Microsoft's original PNP monitor driver
3. Change cables to new one (tested both DP & HDMI) both using premium new cables
4. Format my PC
5. Downgrade my OS from Windows 10 to Windows 7
6. Switching to different PCI-E slot on my motherboard

The only thing I haven't tried is using a different graphic card. Because I don't have any other graphic card except an R7 250 which sadly, does not support FreeSync doh.gif

Oh and by the way, the issue happens 3 days after I switch my casing from Phanteks Enthoo Luxe to Cooler Master HAF XB EVO
I highly doubt it's the casing that causes this issue, but I think I should mention it anyway

My PSU is Corsair RM850i which is less than 2 years old. My R9 390X is also less than 2 years old

I believe it's either the graphic card or the monitor itself, but too damn busy to send them for RMA

Unless I didnt know freesync enough, else old card should still able to output to monitor, as standard 60Hz. My super old i5's Intel HD3000 have no issue output to Predator X34, just that max at 1080P ( so both sides got black bar ) and 60Hz.

It's not about output buddy, but the flickering happens whenever I enable "FreeSync" in AMD settings
If I disable FreeSync or connect it to any graphic cards that doesn't support FreeSync, the monitor will run just fine

As explained above I've tested both, same result
In fact, the flickering is even worse when using HDMI

I was using a DisplayPort cable the whole time until the issue starts, then switch to a new premium DP cable, no changes
Then switched to HDMI, even worse than DP, flickering happens a lot more to a level when the screen just goes out

Aiyo your didnt mentioned in OP that it happen only when enable freesync sweat.gif

If roll back driver and swapping cable also not helping, my guess will be be monitor.

Thanks, cos I also found that AOC322 model had some issues the other day at UTP event.

The screen keeps blacking out from time to time. Short black out, not sure if same thing or related.

Those are stock settings compared to the Ryzen3's overclock I think.

Thats only for 1 game. Read the full review and you'll find out its fairly competitive with i3's the 1300x being the better buy for bang/buck.

Just got my RX 550 today
Flickering is still there, so confirm it's the monitor that's broken

Damn. It's only 1 month old! vmad.gif

For those that wanna find out more about X370 vs B350 other than the got SLI takde SLI thing, feel free to check this video out.

I was just wondering if most people would actually still think that SLI is worth spending another RM300-500 more for. More digging reveals that that is not all you get from the upgrade.

Do let me know what you think?

QUOTE
GamersNexus notes that when it met with several members of AMD's Radeon Technologies Group team to discuss RX Vega's future, there were lots of slides and marketing materials to digest, though no mention of Crossfire. That is in stark contrast to AMD's Polaris launch, in which the company emphasized how dual Radeon RX 480 graphics cards could match the performance of a GeForce GTX 1080.

"This time, it seems, none of the Crossfire claims were made; in fact, 'Crossfire' wasn’t once mentioned during any of the day-long media briefing. It wasn’t until media round-table sessions later in the day that the topic of Crossfire came up," GamersNexus says.

When the discussion did finally turn to Crossfire, AMD noted that the industry at large is trending away from multiple-GPU setups. That does not mean RX Vega won't support Crossfire—to be clear, it does—however, AMD is not going to market Crossfire to the same extent it did with Polaris. The decision was made based in part on limited developer support—not all games scale well with multiple GPUs.

Theres some issue with their vrm im delivering exact voltage
Its affecting all da intel mobos
Their mobo tends to overvolt quite a bit
Z170,z270,x299

In dis day and age seriously unacceptable. So yeah try to forgo da inner RGB in ya.. lol

I expect samething in their amd lineup as well.

Vrm/fets tech hasnt change much since z87..hence y u see a similar board design in amd4 boards compared to z270 etc..

Msi ballin now with asus. Exact voltage.. good design etc
Only thing their net support in forums etc & feedback is non-existant so bios support etc slow.
