Guys,I tired to subscribe astro.After checking the packages I ask the salesman about the charges. The person said no installation fee but decoder need 155. I thought decoder is free?

LOL..what a funny response from asstro...no channel capacity? How about cancelling a few of those on demand HD movie channels? Excuses, excuses

i need some help here...

my dad got a call from CASTRO (ahem i mean "A$TRO") to upgrade from Old DMT to new HD PVR unit...

Here is the situation
-My dad's account already had a multiroom subscription (2 unit DMT)
-The new HD PVR is tied into the old DMT subscription

Here is the problem
-When ASTRO called to promo the new HD PVR, My dad assumes that "UPGRADE" means "REPLACE" and automatic "CANCEL" of old DMT unit...
-Now he want to cancel the extra old DMT unit (not used anymore), ASTRO is THREATENING us with RM 500 PENALTY FEE (because the new HD PVR is tied into the same account and the T&C is tied into it too)

Can i call CFM, and complaint/sue them on technicality...
- ASTRO didn't mention the 24-MONTHS CONTRACT AGREEMENT on the phone conversation
- the vague term "UPGRADE" is not "REPLACE/CANCEL" of old unit ; INSTEAD it's "ADD-ON"

PS: FAST HELP from any "师傅" is greatly appreciated...
can't TAHAN the bill shock jump from RM 182++ to RM 340++...

Major cock up last Sunday when Fox Sports decided to air the F1 live coverage on Fox Sports 1 instead of the original scheduled on Fox Sports 3.

Obviously they didn't take into account the almost sure accident in Monaco & the broadcast would stretch beyond the allocated time & will clash with the next program which happens to be live BPL match involving Manchester United. I think they missed about 8-10 minutes of the live football.

Perhaps asstro requested them to show F1 on the main Fox Sports channel coz of the many complaints? Well, after this cock-up for sure Fox gonna tell asstro to subscribe to Fox Sports 2 & 3 in HD, no compromise next time. Good thing the football season ended already

I think Fox Sports scheduling was determined by Fox International Channels Asia. Because it broadcast same feed in South East Asia.

I believe so too but it was originally scheduled to be shown on FS 3

Inb4 they want to monetize FS 2 HD & 3 HD with irrelevant ads.

Maya HD = free for NJOI after Ria programmes (previously on Maya HD) gets own HD one...

I live on the condo above kl festival city mall. any suggestions for subscribing astro?
special offer? better rates etc etc? rather than me normally calling them for subscription?
