I have ASTRO in the living room, and the astro has been "extended" to TV (normal CRT) in the family area using a single coaxial cable, meaning that the TV in the family area can only watch what the TV in the living room is watching. To channel can only be changed from the living room.

What do I need to do to be able to change the astro channel in the family room? I am thinking of buying one of those RF splitter with IR extender device (see attached photo). Would this work? Can I just use this with just one (i.e. the existing) coaxial cable? Or do I need to lay another coaxial cable?

I think for their spies to see whether the subscriber is using a residential or commercial account. Just like the random codes that you see appearing on screen, although I dont see them anymore now. Commercial places cannot use residential accounts. They have to pay A LOT more.

For account termination you need to provide 1 month notic. And after the disconnection date you need to provide the Astro set(Decoder,remote and smartcard) to our Astro Center and the address can be found at

After AEC & Shuang Xing, Ria is next in line.

Maybe channel 201 Vanavil wl also go HD

then whats the point is MAYA HD? i thought MAYA HD is for RIA and PRIMA program in HD

there enough of repetition program already, now you want to add in-house channel like RIA HD when there is MAYA HD?
i rather give RTM/MEDIA PRIMA/AL HIJRAH spot in HD channel line up in astro..
if i be person in charge, i would go to these channel, and tell them to transmit their HD channel under astro before "tv digital" arrived.
i don't understand what is astro doing...

Its one greedy organisation,it wld not hv made it in any other country! Time is running out they wl soon be forgotten,they wl be licking thier own wounds soon.They are making rojak channels for njoi just to stay relevant instead of going missing when Mytv moves in.At the moment they are still needed around for soccer fans thats all,the country is bored with their offerings,the official recycle bin of the nation Chinese and Indian customers hv given up on them seeking alternatives all they hv now is the sports and malay market to cling to.

Hope i'm in the correct place
Yesterday the astro guy came to replace my decoder as it was faulty most of the time
I had to restart it once every few days for it work properly
Anyways, long story short
The error message " You have inserted the wrong smartcard"
"Please insert the correct smartcard"

I called the CS adi and was told up to 24 hours to link or activate the smartcard.
It's coz they need to link my card to the new machine.
Checked in the bill they gave me, the smartcard is correct ( its my old card)
Did they recently change the decoder to a new model? Mine is the byond box btw...

Decoder forever in standby since yesterday after changing though ( i checked every hour just to see if it is active adi, but still same error).

They told you to wait 24 hrs for them to link. Why not wait 24 hrs before complaining or asking anything here

But it's just taking too long
I don't want to waste time waiting for it to be activated
