i need some help here...
my dad got a call from CASTRO (ahem i mean "A$TRO") to upgrade from Old DMT to new HD PVR unit...
Here is the situation
-My dad's account already had a multiroom subscription (2 unit DMT)
-The new HD PVR is tied into the old DMT subscription
Here is the problem
-When ASTRO called to promo the new HD PVR, My dad assumes that "UPGRADE" means "REPLACE" and automatic "CANCEL" of old DMT unit...
-Now he want to cancel the extra old DMT unit (not used anymore), ASTRO is THREATENING us with RM 500 PENALTY FEE (because the new HD PVR is tied into the same account and the T&C is tied into it too)
Can i call CFM, and complaint/sue them on technicality...
- ASTRO didn't mention the 24-MONTHS CONTRACT AGREEMENT on the phone conversation
- the vague term "UPGRADE" is not "REPLACE/CANCEL" of old unit ; INSTEAD it's "ADD-ON"
PS: FAST HELP from any "师傅" is greatly appreciated...
can't TAHAN the bill shock jump from RM 182++ to RM 340++...
