I always use factory image. Work all the time.  laugh.gif

Here is the steps:

CODE

adb reboot bootloader

At this point, phone in green-android-mode.

CODE

fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-mako-makoz30f.img

If you see something like device not found, etc at this point, that mean your adb drivers is not the Universal driver. Follow these steps to make it Universal (https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3345520&st=600&p=71498268&#entry71498268) or download it from XDA.

CODE

fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1701.05.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot update image-occam-lrx22c.zip

The last fastboot is without "-w". That will keep all your data and settings. You will lost Root and custom recovery. Easy to get it back.  tongue.gif

You have to ask yourself... is it more fun with CheatEngine, or less fun with CheatEngine?

It's an individual choice...  blush.gif

For me CE is no fun if you don't end the game in the legit way.I usually beat the game 1st then use CE to add the fun factor because usually it get bored after ending it.

i noticed high battery usage in Google Service. apparently, i enabled those "Trusted Agent" and face unlock stuff. Was testing it.

Luckily someone notice that and provide ways to disable those.

if u didn't root it, don't have custom recovery didn't apply any 3rd party patch (qualcomm, bionic, etc), don't change anything in build.prop, OTA should work.

ps: basically, if it was never rooted before, u can't really do all those anyway...

I usually do a complete backup on my phone before every major OS upgrade.

Typically, I use the "dd" command from "adb" and directly copy the whole hardisk partition of /boot, /system and /data into an IMG file and transfer it into my PC. (Yes, you can use TWRP or CWM too)

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry65566544

Problem arise... been installing lotsa game lately... phone storage is now 13gb. Since my phone only has 16gb, it wont be enough to backup everything.

So, I have to do "dd" and pipe it into "netcat" and store the IMG into my PC directly via USB.

This guy has it all figured out:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818321

Steps to backup the entire /data partition. This partition has all your app, data and setting.

1. Compile netcat or download busybox into your phone
- http://www.busybox.net/downloads/binaries/.../busybox-armv7l
2. Make port forwarding between PC and Phone
CODE
adb forward tcp:5555 tcp:5555

2. Put nc or busybox into your phone
CODE
adb push busybox-armv7l /data/local/tmp

3. Make it executable
CODE
adb shell
chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/busybox-armv7l

4. Here is the important part, gain "root", dd the /data into netcat
CODE
su
/data/local/tmp/busybox-armv7l nc -l -p 5555 -e dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata

5. Open another command prompt. Important not to use Powershell as there is problem with piping. Start netcat and receiving data. You need netcat for Windows (or ncat http://nmap.org/ncat/) and pv.exe (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pvforcygwin/):
CODE
adb forward tcp:5555 tcp:5555
nc 127.0.0.1 5555 | pv -i 0.5 > data.img

You will see some nice ASCII animation tongue.gif Wait till it stop. You have your complete backup.

To view your data, you can mount in any Linux OS. If you have VMware, add a Shared Folder to the directory that contain the data.img. Start your Ubuntu / Linux OS in VMware. In Ubuntu, the Shared Folder can be found in /mnt/hgfs/. Now, just mount it in any terminal.

CODE
#mount -o loop /mnt/hgfs/backup/data.img /tmp/data

If you're rooted and the steps wipe data + dalcik cache did not work, sideload and reinstalling the ROM from scratch may help

if your phone is rooted, or custom ROM, modded, patched, etc, try flash into Factory Image (https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images)

if your phone is not rooted, check for App that can control Wifi setting; Free Wifi app, etc.

more specifically, some app can turn on and off your wifi using permission CHANGE_WIFI_STATE. those App could be the one interfering with each other and YOU.

if you know which one, try remove it and test your phone.

if you don't know which one using that permission, download this open source tool:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?..._explorer&hl=en

Run the Permission Explorer app, go to "Permissions", select "CHANGE_WIFI_STATE". You will see list of app that has that permission. Try removing them to find out the culprit.

You can use this App to check many other stuff, like those App that start when you phone start "BOOT_COMPLETE", "RECORD_AUDIO", "INTERNET", etc. You get the idea.

+for those who like to try out the shiets, just update your recovery as well

its normal for all the rubber finishing. it will degrade and become sticky over time.
u can use isopropyl alcohol to rub it off.
