QUOTE(daniellee80 @ Oct 2 2014, 12:10 AM) hey guys, for non bumis can we buy units for ASW, ASM, AS1M via websites such as CIMB/RHB online? Coz I tried for these websites, it says fully subscribed...but for M2U some forumer said can pulak? hmmm.... Also, I managed to open new book for AS1M today...but only rm 100 though I don't think non-bumi can buy via online. It's already sold-out. I'm sure tomorrow, the money would be return back into the forummer maybank account btw, congrats for opening new AS1M account. Where u open it? Normally banks won't even try for u

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 2 2014, 05:05 PM) Anyone manage to get some AS1M units today.. Sharing is Caring Today, desperto here got AS1M 1K ASM 100 ASW 100 Asked to open new account 3 times in the last 48 hrs and got the famous "Not possible" reply. Any one with better strikes? Cheerio. P/S From my strike rate, this AS1M dividend sale is not as good (in fact, a lot poorer) as last month's ASW. Anyone with similar observation? Or is it just me?

Still don't know where he open it I think this time not many people withdraw their dividend or many non-bumi don't have AS1M account (because of the famous "4% p.a dividend only" rumour)

Actually the rumour old one. It started when AS1M launched in year 2009. AS1M is benchmarked against the Malaysian Government Securities average 5-year yield which give between 3.7 and 4 per cent. Because of this statement, people knowingly or unknowingly twisted and summarized the said statement to simply laymen term "AS1M gives 4%". The key words "benchmarked against" got dropped out as words spreading out
