so does that tell you that non-bumi in malaysia are very rich?  icon_idea.gif

Richy comprises of all races. No necessary Chinese. U see khirtoyo owns big plot of bungalow on a big piece of land and also can park helicopter also. It just that me and u dont those richy.

next time u ask teller "saya nak buka akaun baru saham gemilang", "harga naik turun punya". don't tell ASG. sometimes they confused  tongue.gif

but u already have those 3 fund passbook. It's much more easier to "try luck". There's people out there only have 1 fund only  nod.gif

thanks sister. Your comments is appreciated. Coz I m newbie need longer explanation. If short answer, difficult to understand.

my advice is for u to just open an ASB2 account

topping up is easier than opening a new account

esp if the govt suddenly tried to entice majority voters with 10% first yr dividend for asb2? who knows? better be prepared than sorry tongue.gif

Boss got inside "hint"

I ask the opiser at counter amik number. How to open ASB2.

He give hint: ASB1 sudah penuh? ASB1 lagi "hensem". ASB2 tk beberapa nak "hensem".

There u go, that is the only hint I got.

of koz there's the risk, but better be prepared with a book rather than wait in line in march later hoping to open up the account

plus, putting in a few k wouldn't hurt your finances if the dividend declared is just 6.5%.

that's an understandable risk. heck, i'm losing about 4k from my ASN2 investment as we speak. that's just 2 months old. but i take it as part of learning. u can't win all the time wink.gif

lost is actually about 2sen per share x 100,000 units = rm 2k

the additional rm 2k or so is from the service charge that they deduct immediately when u buy into the ASN2

no, didn't do averaging yet unless the unit price drop > 10 sen. if drop by 10 sen, i will need to inject the same amount as my initial investment so i can halve my loss sweat.gif

however, this is a long term investment and i'll wait at least 3 yrs before i sell. hopefully can get > rm1 per share, if not the rm 1.20+ at its peak last year

pardon my concern, if all non-bumi allotment for as1m is fully subscribed, what is the purpose of this thread? Since we can't buy more anymore.

Sifu,

Can I buy am gemilang?? I m a chinese?
*
Yes, you can buy gemilang. There is plenty more units now. But what i must tell is is gemilang is diff from other fund. You heard of Public Mutual? Fundsuperart?
Yes, they works the same. But the bright site of this is they do provide a consistent dividend when compared to other. I said this becasue i have seen the past 10 years history since gemilang was launch. And during 2008, others are doing real bad. so this is the year again. 2014-2015. Lets see, this march, and coming march. I can say i am quite worried. As, Luci say, this is long term investment. Now may be as low as 1.109. but, what my exp, it cound be as high as 1.220 which is last year.
Its your choice now. ASNB having fund size of 1.0billion for gemilang. since last year, they have an avarage over 200% increasment of the fund when the 2% SC was laucnh. And now if not mistaken, gemilang are closing to 800mill. I will check it later. I just got back and will reply more detail as i could later.

hope this help.
