What if you and family member take 2 no. Family goes first to sell say 100units. Then when your no call and the 100 units is still there, can open account?
Cause I know one bank clerak say can open. Some more willing to try for me. But must see have units or not. Can this way work?

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Dec 2 2014, 06:02 PM) there's some people who would blindly "invest" in ASx fund esp old folks & noobie. like what happen to me today. Bank staff tried to promo me ASG, telling me the fund give me 7% p.a (way better than ASM, ASW etc. which give around 6sen+). If I'm not well inform, surely I fall for the trap. like we all in LYN know that variable fund NAV would "drop" after dividend distribution unlike fixed price fund. The so-called 7% p.a are deducted from NAV. But if you keep say 3 years, you will gain. Won't you? Also, it depends on the price/unit. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Dec 2 2014, 07:07 PM

QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Dec 2 2014, 07:22 PM) Yes very misleading info. One staff from asnb called me, don't bother about the 5% service charge, as the yearly dividend enough to cover the service charge for variable funds, but never indicate about the NAV changes for pre-post dividend date. These ppl should be fired. NAV may drops. But if you keep for say 5 years, won't you be able to cover back and drop NAV price?

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Dec 2 2014, 07:55 PM) It will. But U know people want fast money and yes, the way they convey information is wrong. It had me worried for a while when I read about the NAV cause I put in about RM50k+ in there. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Dec 2 2014, 08:18 PM

Hi,
1. I want to ask, is ASW2020 really unlimted and fix price fund? 2. Is it open for chinese? 3. Why people want as1m if asw2020 is same like as1m?

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jan 7 2015, 10:37 PM) It's much more easier to "try luck". There's people out there only have 1 fund only Yeah. That's me. I oly have ASG. But I spread out my money between the ASG.

QUOTE(alexkos @ Jan 8 2015, 08:46 PM) pardon my concern, if all non-bumi allotment for as1m is fully subscribed, what is the purpose of this thread? Since we can't buy more anymore. Oh, we can. We can go fish for units everyday if one have the time and money. Also mjust depend whther the worker want to entertain you or not. But to open a new account, that is another story.

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Jan 10 2015, 04:10 PM) But, to leveled the NAV we usually practice DCA or dollar cost averaging or something like that. Which is cash in certain amount on once every month. WHat do you mean by this? Buy more units when the price is low?
