guys, i wanted to ask(ok. i have read through all the faq/claims). for example a book got 2 names. 2rd name automatically considered as beneficiary? if the first person gone, the 2nd person will automatically received all the units from the book and continue invest in the book without (transfer unit by sell and buy back->risk). am i right?

that's the risk u need to take when investing in variable pricing fund  whistling.gif  unlike fixed price fund, anytime rm1/unit biggrin.gif

saw alot people demand for fixed price fund. so are they really risk free?
and i read thru the past thread. GST applies to variable fund/UT and fixed is not affected. so if i buy i get 6% charges on buying and 6% on selling?

Q4 Can I make nomination to my ASNB Funds account?
No, you can’t.
Q10 What if the beneficiary listed in the Letter of Administration passed away?
The claim can be made by a new beneficiary via new application form and documents. Please refer to ASNB Services for the supporting documents needed.

guys i got confused over this 2 questions. does it mean the first person(as the beneficiary) can appoint new beneficiary to claim on his/her behalf

u actually cannot do nomination for ASNB fund like EPF, but ASNB do have some inheritance services. u need to pay for it.

if have Letter of Administration stated the one particular person as the beneficiary, then ASNB need to follow it (if the unit holders didn't  buy the ASNB  inheritance services)  nod.gif

if the book got parent and minor name, does minor considered as beneficiary without have to get the letter of administration?

For my understanding....you invest when the price drops.....
thanks

Logic always tell us buy low sell high. Anyway, in your case, look at the market situation now, u never know the market up and down. So use the "extra" money to invest if u want play safe.

bro will-i-am..can you write longer...dont give so short answer. some of us here are newbie.

other bro / sister, if i wan to have as gemilang, only need to wait till got special announced subcription too?
*
why dont u spend time to look at their website.

FOR fixed fund u cant buy cause everytime what the teller will tell is full full full no subscription now unless you know someone who is willing to work for you just like real time monitoring. otherwise wait for an announced placement. on a side note, new placement can be snapped up very fast like 30mins after opened.

For variable fund like ASG(gemilang) for non bumi, u can buy anytime you want. the amount of shares you want is prepared steadily for you to buy (want buy 500k on the spot also no problem) because we are quite risk adverse investors.

of koz there's the risk, but better be prepared with a book rather than wait in line in march later hoping to open up the account

plus, putting in a few k wouldn't hurt your finances if the dividend declared is just 6.5%.

that's an understandable risk. heck, i'm losing about 4k from my ASN2 investment as we speak. that's just 2 months old. but i take it as part of learning. u can't win all the time  wink.gif
*
4k is a huge loss. do you manage to average it? i lost about 1k but what i heard from other people economy will be worsen until the end of 2015 because our economy is not ready for GST yet .
