Not sure if right topic to ask this, but what happens if the headphone I buy from Amazon got problem and need to exchange/repair within warranty period?

They have very nice price (almost half price on Senn HD598) even after shipping but this problem makes me think twice. Pls advise, sifu!  smile.gif

Need to send back to Amazon, u need to pay shipping fees, but 50% lower I will take the risk, and Senn wont rosak so easy.

Ostry KC06 / KC06A is with solid music body, slightly warm, clean with good punch and tight bass.
RE300H has dark background, smooth with large quantity and flexible bass, better ambience. Suitable for those who can't tolerate with sharp or brighter sound.
Due to the 2 driver design, IM50 has largee sound stage than KC06 and RE300, the connection between the frequency is not as smooth as the 1 driver KC06. Bass quantity is more than Ostry but lesser than RE300H. Details is around same range with KC06/KC06A, but sound is a little bit rough, not as refined. IM50 sounds more open, KC06 sounds more focus.

i thought the kc06/kc06a used balanced armature?

Can consider ATH AD900x. Open back. Clean, refined and neutral sound. Not much bass and mids.
Full sized ear cup with velor pads. Very light and can cover the whole ear.
38 ohms/ 100dB/mW. Quite easy to get enough volume.

Thanks, but I think comfort is a concern, maybe Grado SR80e?
*
SR80e is not really comfortable for me either. I hate the usual grado flat pads. Switching to HD414 pads helps a lot laugh.gif

Beyer for more bass and better clamp grip, right? I was actually leaning toward a900 because i can get it at 1/2 the price of Beyer. Well, okay, haha... maybe not sleeping but more like sitting with my back on pillows on the bed.

Your rig : HTC One M8/ and Fiio E10k for desktop
- What type of usage: Mainly music
- File format used in your source: FLAC and MP3
- Genre of music you listen to: Most modern songs?
- Headphone/ earphone type: IEM
- Budget: RM250+-

I am eyeing the Audio Technica ATH-IM50. Any better options than this? Willing to top up just a bit if there is a significantly better option. Last question is the ATM-IM70 a better choice?

Why not getting the M50X? the DT770 needs more driving power. Or even the ATH-MSR7 is not a bad choice too.

IM70 is superior model compared to IM50.. worth topping up.
Some notable models,
Havi B3 Pro 1 (my personal pref, very neutral and referential sound, huge soundstage)
VSonic VSD3 (more bass and less neutral, warm sound, sounds like a baby westone 4)
