Thanks for your recommendation! I am so glad to receive your message.

I checked around the web, and the price is Okay for me XD.

My only concern is that is this earphone consider heavy? (285g, stated in the official site). Because I had a steelseries siberia elite (worst spending decision EVER, I was young and naive), which weighs around 365g. (Not to mention bad sound and not durable, only a year and one side is mute)

My other earphone was AKG K44, which is only 190g and was extremely comfortable for long time wearing.

Also, is this brand durable? I am hoping to use it for at least 2 years (Preferably longer)

Finally, where can I audition one in KL/Selangor area?

9 out of 10 gaming headphone doesn't last > 2years. I have got a friend with his M50 for 5years, head paddings deteriorated (replaced the ear pads) but no any others problem has occured so far. My AD700 lasted 7years, still working for me! flex.gif

What makes a headphone feels heavy it depends on the design and construction, the joint and supports must be aligned and distribute the weight across the wearer head. In M50X's case, I hardly feel any discomfort regarding the weight. (had a modded T50RP [330g] + that cable [50g])

K44 nowhere close to M50X in term of sound performance.
BTW the MDR-1R and COP is not really an all rounder compared to the versatile M50X, but as additional options why not? tongue.gif 0.02$

I've been to few concerts, their sound system is way way better than headphones I tested.
Is it possible for headphone to get concert sound quality?

Requirement: A headphone which performs like concert sound system tongue.gif
Wont go for speaker/hifi because I live with neighbors.

Hi! I'm hoping to get a pair of headphones for a female friend of mine as a birthday present. Her usage is mostly music and videos; pop, classic, jazz, drama and movies. She really likes music and always gets the lossless version, so i thought i should get her a set of headphones that can do them justice smile.gif.

I'm hoping to get her something that looks good and have some noise cancelling/dampening abilities. So i'll be going for closed headphones. I was recently looking at the first gen. Sennheiser Momentum Wired, any thoughts?

Rig : Computer 80%, Phone 20%
Usage : Mostly music, some movies
Headphone : Closed (i heard NC would be more expensive, would appreciate alternatives biggrin.gif )
Budget : 1k below (cheaper is of course better tongue.gif)
Current gear : XiaoMi Piston earphones

Apologies if i mis-used any terms notworthy.gif , I'm new to this and am hoping for some advice. Thank you in advance guys!

its not about loudness
my standard laptop mobo soundcard can drive the hd600 to ear bleeding level
its more to overall more refined sound.
i've used the aune t1 mk2, its a good dac amp but adding a magni to it sounds even better

M50x sounded impressive for its price, but design-wise, it's very old-skol and pretty heavy as well...

Extremely functional but not suitable, for outdoors ...or at a Starbucks spot..

I bring around my HFI 580 in my local starbucks and i find no problem.

Another notable mention, Sennheiser momentum, less "fun" than M50X but more portable and stylish.

Expected, as there's now clearance for old momentum on-ear/over-ear stocks due to the release of newer momentum models. biggrin.gif Nonetheless, if you wanted to compare the price locally, that's an exceptionally good price. icon_rolleyes.gif

Short answer, yes biggrin.gif
With RM350, rarely anything can beat it on that price. (Maybe the AKG K430/K450, but all comes down to preference tongue.gif)

Ahhh i see i see, thank you sifu! notworthy.gif

May i ask one more thing? I've heard a lot of good reviews for the momentum over-the-ear, may i ask your opinion on its performance at that price for flac music use (jazz, pop, classic etc)? Is it worth it?
