actually, planning the 3rd car that are more economical and practical to practiced their skill. i got the KEMBARA for my daily used. my BOLD for long distance/weekend used only. too expensive for them to play around. of cause AXIA was my 1st choice, but then IRIZ looks better. hmm.gif
*
Go get Axia SE. It's a simple car with decent features, easy to drive, cheap to maintain and saves fuel so that they'll come for you asking for refuel money less often.

yeah, me too, my shin touched the driver seat when i want to stretch out my leg,

maybe because my seat is at its lower-est position

have you try to jack up the seat? i didnt had a chance to adjust the height and try again

I see. So you gonna decide based on the feedback? but then it actually depend on your financial freedom la smile.gif You are aiming for the premium 1? or the executive 1? haha

So you are implying that if he don't buy a car, his kid will not love him?  tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
no la.. for me, if i am a kid, i will be happy if father give more extra allowance for refuel..instead of give much better car.. no point if father give mercedes, but only able to drive around 1hour during weekend.
no money to refuel.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(tehsarbat @ Nov 7 2014, 03:41 AM)
thank you for the good question. hmm.gif
mainly aim the AXIA coz of the FC especially for town used. 17KM/ltr vs 13KM/ltr for IRIZ.
secondly the maintenance. both having new engine. so no history. yet to monitor/feedback for a few month.
its not that urgent, so i don't mind waiting. tested both AXIA G and ARIZ 1.3. my 13 years old KEMBARA still serving me well, and my new BOLD proved no major problem.
the kids don't care much as long as they got something to play with, but not my BOLD. already poisoned by their mother saying IRIZ more cute. of cause i prefer the cheapest. sweat.gif
*
if i were u also i will give axia, if want to give iriz, buy manual. cos maintenance wise, i believe u also will tanggung all right? proton cvt if i am not mistaken, need to do major maintenance at 60000km, and then timing belt also need to do at 80000km..
trust me, those numbers maybe looks long way to go, but sedar tak sedar, 2 tahun suda 70000km.. laugh.gif

for a kid, any car will be fine.
during my uni time i got worned out honda civic AK.

if im a father for newly-got-license kid, i better take car with good safety feature.

last threeyears i had an accident in my mom's full-spec'ed gen2 (dual airbags abs).
that car didn't have Stability Ctrl. Alhamdulillah lucky me, im still alive.

during Alami proton a few mths back, i asked the test drive to demonstrate irizs' VDC.
the feeling was similar to that a few second before my crash last time, but this time, the VDC took control of the car.
i believe with VDC it will help to prevent from accident.

proton, keep the good effort in providing the safety features in ur product.
it would be a nice upgrade if exora could be fitted with VDC, +airbags etc.

my current ride is honda jazz ge ckd, equipped with VSA.
i had a thinking of buying new vios, but no VSC, so no buy.
if without stability ctrl, i had an accident with lotus tuned chassis, how would i survive with one without lotus tuned?

jack up the seat will make your thigh stuck to the steering.. maybe the proton engineer forgot that the average size of malaysian have increase... i just love the feel in the car.. if i'm driving that not the problem, the problem starts when traveling with my family and their size is like me.. hadoi doh.gif

that is because the back seat is longer on iriz and axia backseat is short, ur knees will be hanging.

i sit in iriz, my knee does not left hanging, but doesnt touch front seat either, but the gap space quite small, like can put takraw ball..

i sit in axia, my knee hang abit, doesnt touch front seat, gap space can put basketball..

axia passenger side floor abit weird, it has a slight bump just below the front passenger seat..
i had to buy new carpet and wrap over it..

what about other b segment hatch? I think this problem is universal. Unless you do something like the axia, shorter back seat and slim front seat.

for the interior comfort, space n suspension ride tuning, prtn look up for vw polo, which is also a global car. handling, agility they benchmark fiesta, also global car n both also has more or less space as iriz.

myvi benchmark for price n some design cue according to malaysian taste.

what global means for prtn is iriz(chasis) being develop abiding all the global homogolation standard, especially safety aspect. we r not talking bout numbers of airbags or vsc or etc. we r talking about unece regulations, fmvss regulations n etc. its not also related to ancap coz unece n fmvss is the basic homogolation standard that the car need to comply before selling it to certain market.

thats why maruti swift a pillar bend, while malaysian swift not bend during same crash test, coz in india,no need to comply with unece frontal crash regulation which design n materials related.

design could be same, but material can reduce cost by using less strength steel,n ommiting certain important part n not according to proper size of beam. malaysian regulation now all new cars need to comply with unece homogolation for frontal crash.

thats why both swift even same design, get diff outcome. like bumper materials, global used diff material compare to ahbeng bumper n bodykit, even the ahbeng material is cheaper n look the same
