as a person with the height of 185cm.. i'm totally frustrated with proton vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif .. when i adjust my ideal position when driving, then look at the legroom for passanger at the back..the legroom for rear so kecik doh.gif .. i just love the car..what to do, this is suitable for people with the average height of 170.. i just love the feel in iriz, the sense of stability and security is in the car..

yeah, me too, my shin touched the driver seat when i want to stretch out my leg,

maybe because my seat is at its lower-est position

have you try to jack up the seat? i didnt had a chance to adjust the height and try again
*
jack up the seat will make your thigh stuck to the steering.. maybe the proton engineer forgot that the average size of malaysian have increase... i just love the feel in the car.. if i'm driving that not the problem, the problem starts when traveling with my family and their size is like me.. hadoi doh.gif

for the interior comfort, space n suspension ride tuning, prtn look up for vw polo, which is also a global car. handling, agility they benchmark fiesta, also global car n both also has more or less space as iriz.

myvi benchmark for price n some design cue according to malaysian taste.

what global means for prtn is iriz(chasis) being develop abiding all the global homogolation standard, especially safety aspect. we r not talking bout numbers of airbags or vsc or etc. we r talking about unece regulations, fmvss regulations n etc. its not also related to ancap coz unece n fmvss is the basic homogolation standard that the car need  to comply before selling it to certain market.

thats why maruti swift a pillar bend, while malaysian swift not bend during same crash test, coz in india,no need to comply with unece frontal crash regulation which design n materials related.

design could be same, but material can reduce cost by using less strength steel,n ommiting certain important part n not according to proper size of beam. malaysian regulation now all new cars need to comply with unece homogolation for frontal crash.

thats why both swift even same design, get diff outcome. like bumper materials, global used diff material compare to ahbeng bumper n bodykit, even the ahbeng material is cheaper n look the same

i havent test VW polo or Fiesta, coz both car is out of my budget..for iriz , i have no problem with other thing except the space for rear passanger.. i am dissapointed coz i want to buy the car.. but now i need to think twice..

interms of performance for proton car, i dont have any negative comment coz most of my family car is proton.. my 3 year old persona still can whack up to 200km/h +++...even it can take conner at high speed...

Just treat it like u buy a satria neo..
Satria neo much more cramped at the back.
In long journey, i confirm lie down if i were at the back.
Cannot sit at all.
Hehehe..

Seriously i dont find iriz rear space too small, any bigger than that, must find other car class. (long rear seat and big front rear seat gap)
The seat is comfy for long ride.
*
yes.. almost the same as satria neo..by the way, how tall r u??

Although there are plenty of reviews on the net,
based on those that already got the unit, may i know at least some sort of short review regarding the car?

Most that i heard are not comfortable with the rear passenger leg room which is kinda expected since it is small hatch car IMO,but then the legroom is better than myvi i suppose?.Any other problems/annoyances?
*
myvi legroom is more spacious.. other than that, iriz is better..

even Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi use non-coating for Driveshaft. It is rusty down there. no one complaint about it.
*
yup..it is cast iron..rust a bit at the outside...but the properties of the material is still there... even new honda city have rusty part due to cast iron... no need to worry, as long as it serve the purpose..there nothing to worried..
