for the interior comfort, space n suspension ride tuning, prtn look up for vw polo, which is also a global car. handling, agility they benchmark fiesta, also global car n both also has more or less space as iriz.

myvi benchmark for price n some design cue according to malaysian taste.

what global means for prtn is iriz(chasis) being develop abiding all the global homogolation standard, especially safety aspect. we r not talking bout numbers of airbags or vsc or etc. we r talking about unece regulations, fmvss regulations n etc. its not also related to ancap coz unece n fmvss is the basic homogolation standard that the car need  to comply before selling it to certain market.

thats why maruti swift a pillar bend, while malaysian swift not bend during same crash test, coz in india,no need to comply with unece frontal crash regulation which design n materials related.

design could be same, but material can reduce cost by using less strength steel,n ommiting certain important part n not according to proper size of beam. malaysian regulation now all new cars need to comply with unece homogolation for frontal crash.

thats why both swift even same design, get diff outcome. like bumper materials, global used diff material compare to ahbeng bumper n bodykit, even the ahbeng material is cheaper n look the same

i havent test VW polo or Fiesta, coz both car is out of my budget..for iriz , i have no problem with other thing except the space for rear passanger.. i am dissapointed coz i want to buy the car.. but now i need to think twice..

interms of performance for proton car, i dont have any negative comment coz most of my family car is proton.. my 3 year old persona still can whack up to 200km/h +++...even it can take conner at high speed...

Just treat it like u buy a satria neo..
Satria neo much more cramped at the back.
In long journey, i confirm lie down if i were at the back.
Cannot sit at all.

Hehehe..

Seriously i dont find iriz rear space too small, any bigger than that, must find other car class. (long rear seat and big front rear seat gap)
The seat is comfy for long ride.

Just get the MT, guess it will be cheaper FC and maintenance costs.

Acceleration from 0-60kmh will be much faster in MT which is a great deal in city driving.

Although there are plenty of reviews on the net,
based on those that already got the unit, may i know at least some sort of short review regarding the car?

Most that i heard are not comfortable with the rear passenger leg room which is kinda expected since it is small hatch car IMO,but then the legroom is better than myvi i suppose?.Any other problems/annoyances?

Ask nicely. Also mention that you can no longer commit to buy car because need funds elsewhere. Maybe you will get back.

myvi has a bit longer legroom due to its thin n a bit straight upper backseat n nearly flat n a bit shirt bottom rear seat. thats why it can fold nearly flat.

iriz on the other hand, has thicker n leaner upper back seat, thicker, longer n a bit lean upward for thigh support seat base.

myvi original interior design in japan, main aim for town car, so it meet its objective cuz rear seat confort for long driving is not its priority, focusing on space cuz town driving, isnt that long.

iriz on the other hand, design with malaysian in mind. even its a compact car, without a doubt many still drive it long journey such as balik kampung. eventhough space is needed, but comfort is being given priority. but it did manage to match myvi boot space, due to longer wheel base n wider rear track.

all iriz seats including rear seat has bolster all around to give comfort n hug ur body.

i dont see it as cramp. a bit shorter legroom compare to myvi, yes. even iriz front seat is a bit thicker than myvi.

they can give amount of space if they want by using thinner n shorter seat n less comfort, even at shorter wheel base. saga flx is the best example. but since ur saying its a global car, shud it be more comfort than in a saga or just be as the same as saga?

its up to you to judge. not easy to satisfy every need. its depend on ur need n priority.

Mawi gearbox is still better...it doesn't make noise and vibrate like the Iriz CVT.
