maintenance cost should be the same as the current IAFM+.

the only maintenance that is costly is the gearbox oil change for CVT. It can cost up to 600++ for every single CVT oil change interval (60,000km or 36months, whichever comes first).
*
oo.. cvt gear oil not same as conventional gear oil? 600+ for oil change... i think last time i change my conventional gear oil is 100++ only sweat.gif sweat.gif

Yea, conventional AT oil change cheap only. Got it done for less than 150 for my Altis. CVT fluid and AT fluid has different properties.

My FLX however... costs four times more cry.gif

The 600++ I quoted is including the metal gasket. Some SC insist to change the gasket, some doesn't. If deduct the gasket, overall cost is around 450++

short term proton cheaper cause it offer 3 year free parts and labor? so at least 3 year maintenance cost = 0?
*
SA told me, FREE 3yrs maintenance fee (labour+parts).
but only engine oil, oil filter etc. not for all part...

those info he show me from the booklet, maintainance cost for Proton iriz is cheaper than MYVI

Just get the MT, guess it will be cheaper FC and maintenance costs.

Acceleration from 0-60kmh will be much faster in MT which is a great deal in city driving.

I test drove the manual 1.3 the other day, the clutch is very light and the car is very easy to maneuver thanks to EPS. However, the 1.3 feels underpowered. Didn't like the steering too, too light, feels like handling a toy. laugh.gif

saw the car in a shopping mall today. interior plastic quality is still meh. fit and finish on par with P2. steering wheel got longkang on the lower half, dunno what for and spoils the overall feeling...the only thing that impressed me was the frame-less wipers like continental cars

I test drove and found the clutch quite hard. Steering is quite light at first gear/taking off from side parking but when I did a uturn at 2nd gear, it felt harder. Therefore good during parking. People like me without power steering find it like a savior especially when parking at tight parkings.

The car was passed down to me. Its about 22 years old by now. Soon it has to be passed down again that's why I need to look for a new car.

Overall the iriz interior still ntg much to shout, quality and touches still dont impress me. Parts still feel abit cheap although it has improved over the preve. Aircond knob, steering and signal stalk, buttons still feels very cheap the moment u use it. The materials you touch feels on the cheap side. The door shutting has improved and this time proton able to get it right with similar japanese cars but can be better in terms of consistency. Myvi although its full wid plastics but the feel of the interior is better. The only thing that impress me is the active and passive safety frm the car. Interior feel? Meh😏
