A smart clutch disengage system similar like how you would put to free gear with manual when idle by pressing clutch, as opposed to conventional AT when you press brake, the gear is still engaged.

When you press brake, the clutch will disengage.

bro, better go for 1.6 if budget is not a constraint to you

i regret bought 1.3 gen2 vs 1.6 gen2

in a long run, 1.6 is better.

and not to mention, FC will be better smile.gif
*
Thanks for the tips, wink.gif Yep, the weight of the car is too much for compact car,
afraid 1.3 cvt will be higher FC compare to 1.6, untill now no 1.3 cvt test drive car yet/ or any review

Perhaps one of the reason why 1.6 cvt will come first in november followed by 1.3 in December and january, whistling.gif

I believe due to the weight.

Logically, an under-power engine with a heavy car will lead to bad FC. This is because you will ramp the pedal for it to move, by constantly using lots of power in order to move the body will resulted burning more fuel as compares to 1.6 thus the fc goes higher.

Hello everyone, I am going to purchase my first car. I can fork out budget around 45k~55k.
What do you guys think, should I get the Axia, Iriz, or the Great Wall M4? Any thoughts?

Potential buyer here.
Test driven during Alami Proton both 1.3 MT and 1.6 CVT. Both cars are good just that here's some things I experienced.
1.3 MT
2nd gear redline brings you to 80 km/h. Gear feels quite stiff/hard but still ok. Clutch very hard; traffic jam sure left leg sakit. Power wise is ok, shifting at 2k rpm will have huge power loss so I'm guessing need to shift at 2.5?

1.6 CVT
Take off is too slow. Engine capped at about 2.1k rpm. Brakes too soft(not to my liking. Step a bit no feeling. Step a bit more then brakes engage quite hard).
PS: first time driving auto.

Conclusion: waiting to test drive 1.6MT before deciding. Love the traction Ctrl and other control features.comfortable ride too even for back passengers.

2.1k rpm for CVT isnt the limit yet. hardly.

At that rpm, the CVT is still in "eco mode".
