QUOTE(hoaxer @ Feb 14 2015, 08:31 PM) Guys, just upgraded to streamyx 4mbs from 1mbs. Been using Buffalo WBMR-HP-GN-AP router modem for a long time and now Telekom given me free Ridger router modem. Need opinion on which router modem is better? I never use the Buffalo router. Just test which one works better for you. Thanks Guys. I guess the Buffalo should be better than the TM provided router. |

Hi i can detect my neighbours maxis home fibre and unifi, have been wanting to upgrade to unifi for about a year now, unifi told me that they run out of port for my area...
how frustrating after one year no actions taken... want to check with you all: 1. anyway to speedup unifi to open new port? 2. where can i check for the RM88 with tablet promo, TM point? is this promo egligible nationwide? any T&Cs online to refer to? 3. currently using 1mbps, if upgrade to 4mbps, how long does it take for the process to complete? 4. 4mbps doesnt come with hypptv channel right? "Add on Hypp TV" seems confusing... many thanks This post has been edited by wca: Feb 22 2015, 01:39 PM |

I dunno if its okay to post it here (or should I open up a new forum?)
I've been using streamyx 4mbps for around 2 years and suddenly started from last month, the average speed drop from normal 4000++kbps to less than 500kbps (result from TM speedtest) I've had the technician to check and what he told me was 'parallel phone line problem'. As I've have been using streamyx for 2 years therefore I don't think it has something to do with my phone lines. Also, the speed slow seems to happens very regularly, for a fixed period of time, like 6pm to 8pm etc. and never happens during the midnight. Is there any diagnostics I can do to identify the real main problem? HELP NEEDED! THANKS! This post has been edited by vanellope: Feb 23 2015, 05:59 PM |

QUOTE(vanellope @ Feb 23 2015, 08:24 PM) By leeching you mean someone connecting to my WiFi right? Checked, no suspicious mac addresses. I not really sure, I guess it means your telephone wire are connected in parallel. Could it really be that parallel line problem? What does it mean exactly? But that's unlikely to cause any performance issue and your ADSL stats looks good. |
