demmit.. i install yesterday. todal call, they say surface rt stock out.
told me expect to recieve end of december. i hope dun get those china cap ayam one..

btw, can differentiate surface rt and those cap ayam china one?

oh.. physical check kenot ar? thinking of not accepting a china one when they deliver to me , demand a real surface rt. but considering the time of delivery, obviously i am at work. sigh....

my package clearly stated Streamyx bla2 with Microsoft Surface RT. But, i dunno if they already write something like "TM have any right to replace yada2 with yada2..." at TnC. Wadafak forgot check dat.

btw, i heard celcom gonna introduce new package 15GB at Rm38/month. anyone can confirm?

This is what happen when there's only one company to provide wired internet. No competition, so they can charge whateva they think. I mean, look. 1MBps at RM110? Worst, look at standard package. 1MBps at RM88(without modem).
While I feel kinda happy that can save alot with this package subscription, I feel sorry to old user that continue to pay at old rate. C'mon, they support u all longer than new user. Why the heck they nid to pay more? Why the heck those ppl kenot register with those so-called streamyx with tablet? I kenot brain..

to those who planning to apply tmnet streamyx, i would like to tell u guys to reconsider again. because effectively 1 jan 2015, TM is using a new pricing for cable installation.

it's used to be about rm30-50 for a new cable before. but not now..

the point is, their contractor ONLY install the cable from the pole to the board outside of your house (dunno what it's called).
from that board to, let's say your living room, you will charged another rm200. basically any wiring INSIDE your home is charged.

considering this info came from my friend which work at tmpoint, i think it's quite legit.

but my friend may be wrong. anyway, please confirm from TM before subscribing to their service.

for sure have contract. pay rm600 for early termination. contract duration if i recall correctly is 24 months. you CANNOT DOWNGRADE, only upgrade. and this one not sure, but u CANNOT change to UNIFI also..

u nid new user [new i/c] to apply those streamyx with tablet package, because the term is NEW application (never apply streamyx before). so if there's already streamyx under ur name, u nid to register under others name, like ur parents, sibling, friend yada2..

depends on ur location.. if congested, for sure drop speed. i kenot give feedback because mine not even 1 month usage.. biasa la awal2 ni mmg elok..

your current plan is what? i mean the amount u pay per month. there's quite a number of plan for a 1mbps package.

if u are currently subscribing to a rm88/mth, i think dun bother to upgrade. save ur moneh..
but if u are currently subscribing to a rm110/mth, i think better upgrade. i mean, just add extra rm30 and u get 4x speed than ur old plan (1mbps). if u're lucky, u'll be capped at higher speed, like 5-6mbps.

BUT, there's a catch. this is streamyx, a plan that historically proven can make u scream like an idiot when it suddenly decide to fail on u..

My tablet just arrived today. Not Microsoft Surface RT as claimed at first, but a china one brand natsys. Quite disappointed at first, but after boot it up, i realize it's running on Mirosoft Windows 8.1 Pro. Which mean i can install whatever application i want compared to RT tablet which is limited to an app inside WindowsStore, according to what i read at website.

yeah a tablet. the keyboard is detachable, build into the cover. it's running on Intel Atom Z3735F, intel HD graphic ( i dunno how powerful is this graphic can go, yet to try gaming), 16gb storage (~4gb recovery, ~8gb windows, ~3gb usable storage), Windows 8.1 Pro (got the cdkey thingy sticker like when u buy laptop), came fully charged, have USB OTG cable for connecting usb peripheral( i just try connect my external hdd, can access just fine).the only downside IMO is the RAM (only 1gb) . oh.. only if i can upgrade the ram, like laptop..

i register around end november, install 7 dec. after installation, i call the agent that i deal during applying the package and he inform me that the tablet is out of stock, which explain the long waiting time and the model change. around christmas, i get the message from the supplier i believe, which asking for my detail and other person as representative to receive the tablet. and last Tuesday, the same number again msg me informing me the tracking number via poslaju. and today, the poslaju van came deliver that tablet just before i go out to masjid

u can hardly do anything.. IIRC the main problem kenot upgrade to more speed usually because there's no available port for 4/8 mbps, which indirectly caused by dslam cabinet. now the problem is, tm will not upgrade/add another cabinet unless there's a number of new application at your area.

so, either u get your neighbor to apply at a large number and make them interested to add another cabinet, or jump ship to other ISP.

yeah, not surface. this is made in china tablet. however, considering as this is using win8.1 pro, i find it better as i can install whatever i want.

u nid to login into ur modem and change there. i'm not sure what keyword u nid to find. it's depend on ur modem. what is ur modem model?

sry for late reply. i think yeah. try change that to a lower number. maybe 6..

BTW, regarding the tablet, it seem I am mistaken when i say get windows cdkey sticker, because it says Microsoft® Office Pro Academic 2013. It is an activation key for Office.. sorry for wrong info..

well.. IMO considering a new cabinet, yeah, better performance. newer cabinet support faster connection, more port etc..

as long as it's streamyx, it'll doomed with snail upload speed..

yeah... for torrent one, are there any special setting needed? cause i've tried but yield less than 10kbps. before installing streamyx, i can get 1MBps (celcom) using default 'new installation' setting.

i thought i read earlier post, 4mbps package capped at 40++ something is miscap? because u'll get only about 80% speed or something like that..

full speed all time? i can get full speed only for about 1 hour, and it drop down to 15kBps.. dunno wat wrong. seeder so many but the speed drop so low.

btw, one of my fren just installing his streamyx and he ask me why his connection gone after using about 1hour. he restart modem and the connection okay. after 1 hour, it'll gone again. i suspect modem problem, but it's new one. not even a week. anyone have solution?
