Hi i can detect my neighbours maxis home fibre and unifi, have been wanting to upgrade to unifi for about a year now, unifi told me that they run out of port for my area...

how frustrating after one year no actions taken...

want to check with you all:

1. anyway to speedup unifi to open new port?
2. where can i check for the RM88 with tablet promo, TM point? is this promo egligible nationwide? any T&Cs online to refer to?
3. currently using 1mbps, if upgrade to 4mbps, how long does it take for the process to complete?
4. 4mbps doesnt come with hypptv channel right? "Add on Hypp TV" seems confusing...

many thanks

- depends on locations and approvals
- if your name exists in their system before, then it's not eligible :/

1 - ask in unifi thread? or ask ur neighbors to signup for wanted list..
2 - need new name in system.. if already have streamyx before, then it's not eligible.. also depends on area and approval list, asked tmpoint before.
3 - within few working days, should be instant
4 - hypptv streamyx and unifi hypptv doesn't work the same way..for streamyx it's shared bandwidth, for unifi it's dedicated..

ok thanks alot, will head to tmpoint to signup for it

I got a call from TM sales team, trying to promote upgrading for me.

He got excited when I said I'm interested to signup for upgrade to 4mbps. He offered RM120 per month without land line rental.

Seems like a good deal to me.

So do u still have to pay for the rental of a telephone line, or is it just a pure data line that comes for RM120?

I still can maintain my landline without rental, free call to landline and charged for calls to mobile. I confirmed that couple times with him.

Where can I apply for it? Hav u applied? Is it available for every area? smile.gif

I have applied it, over the phone.
The line will automatically be upgraded to 4mbps within 7 working days. Now no change yet... Will give an update here when i get it.
It was call from them (they call quite ofter, several times a year). Do not know how to contact them, try asking TM Point?

normal user wont benefit... most chinese download sites are p2p...

tm blocked all p2p torrent connections...

unless you are VIP user (which benefit the direct download and offline download).. then you are stuck with that streamyx speed

Thanks for confirming that. Appreciate it. notworthy.gif

received an sms early this month saying:

as a token of appreciation, we are giving away 'TQ surprise' & more exciting offers in 2017. Keep a lookout for the surprises coming your way.

anyone knows wat his is about or just a normal sms? hopefully 2017 got good news for us streamyx users...
