About the planes flying overhead (this is just a guess...repeat- a guess!): maybe as they near the airport, they are reflecting more radar waves in your direction, and that is causing RF (radio frequency) interference with your electronic equipment?
If you like, try downloading an app from Google Play if you have an android phone, like RF Signal Tracker, EMP Detector or similar. If the app shows a big jump in RF strength when a plane passes by, that may indicate one of the sources of your problem. It's a rough gauge and depends much on the sensitivity of the sensor in your phone, but it's better than nothing.

Erm.. i am new streamyx user with 2 mbps package (no idea where the official thread for 2mbps) , may i know does streamyx throttle speed on torrents got specific time?

For example, maxis BB will not throttle download speed from 12am or 3 am to 7 am.

why want they to throttle at specific time when u can have full speed all the time?

full speed all time? i can get full speed only for about 1 hour, and it drop down to 15kBps.. dunno wat wrong. seeder so many but the speed drop so low.

btw, one of my fren just installing his streamyx and he ask me why his connection gone after using about 1hour. he restart modem and the connection okay. after 1 hour, it'll gone again. i suspect modem problem, but it's new one. not even a week. anyone have solution?

yup. I can say full speed most of the time provided seeders are a lot. only drop intermittently for a few seconds then full speed again. if you use utorrent, you'll get green checkmark on the bottom right corner stating that your connection is good. if not, maybe you can try port forwarding in the modem.

if just installed, the modem still under warranty. your best bet is to call the installer to come and check the modem.
but you know, it can be a lot of factor. maybe the dsl line not stable thus the snr margin is low. i doubt they didn't check on first install right.

I also having this problem yesterday. However, since yesterday night .. speed suddenly resume full speeds then until now still full speeds.

oh. rly.. coz i realize when on torrent, the graph show snail speed about 30 minutes, after that the speed will slowly climbing to the top for half hour, down also half hour, and crawl again, this time will take longer time to reach top speed. meaning the graph will be like this

never ever got the top speed maintain. always climb up and down steadily.

btw ameri, utorrent show green check mark at the bttom. that's why this problem really driving me crazy. seed about 3~400, green check mark. but speed, meh~

Streamyx upload speed is always like 10% speed of ur download speed in my experiance so far..im using 4mbps which give me 400++kbps downlaod speed but my uplaod will always get like 20~50++kbps..soo..mehh..

need change to unifi to get stable upload speed IMO.

mine is more like this:

streamyx upload is always the same (max 50kbps++) whether u subscribe 1/2/3/4 or 8mbps package.
never bother about the upload speed anyway. unless you are a good citizen who always want to seed at least with 1:1 ratio.

Hi everyone, may I know how can I check whether my area support 4mbps streamyx?
I've been using 1mbps streamyx for 10 years with the same price and I don't have unifi at my area, so can anyone give me any suggestion? The speed is killing me

best way to do this is to contact an agent (look at Services Noticeboard subforum) and ask if there is coverage.

But then 1 thing i don't understand. Why certain torrent, i can have full speeds while certain i get barely >10kb of speed despite all torrents got lots of seeds.
