you save alot $ after 2 years compare if you keep paying rm140 2 years, unless you plan change ISP or not using internet soon. you still without penalty upgrade to unifi later if available or find offer cheaper price. you can terminate after 2 years and change to your current plan right? i dont think the price and the speed rate still keep this ratio after 2~3 years.

the thing is my area no unifi yet. and they dont have plan deploy unifi in my area. This is the reason i'm holding the upgrade

that's the question, i think they will not change price after 2yrs (from unicool experience). even it change back to rm160 month after 2 yrs, you can do this:

unhappy path:
- terminate again and subscribe again rm89/month package
- let say NO MORE 8mb rm89/mth offer after 2 yrs, surely the 4mb rm88 still will be there -> new subscribe 4mb rm88/mth (just have new contract 2yrs) ->back to your old time

happy path:
- after 2yrs, they never change to rm160/mth, continue use as it
- after 2yrs let say NO MORE 8mb rm89/mth offer after 2 yrs, 4mb rm88 still there or newer better package or unifi already present at your area.

thanks to 2 guys from Streamyx 8MB thread informed these (every time open new streamyx will imposed cost below)
- stamp duty rm10 new subscribe; change number rm20
- cable existed, installation charge only rm35 instead rm50
- then you get new modem, phone, hpptv (default for 8MB- rm100 installation 1 time deal)

both path is not an idea path, TM usually cuck the user.
i dont think unifi will be available after 2 years in my area.
right now they only make ia available in certain area.

Huh? There is installation fees for Streamyx? There no any installation fees for unifi for standard installation.

my area unifi plan are early of 2013 install and drag till end of 2013 (install main road cable only) after several year, early of 2017 finally here and each jalan have 2 tm box but only my road have 1 , sangkut "address not available" complain since early of 2017 and finally November i can install unifi and i decide to take maxis fibre 10mbps , say bye to streamyx that suck and boom alot of my modem T_T

yes, there is installation fee for TM. RM30, which is stupid.
i can install and setup by myself. u cannot dodge the installation fee

assuming you using still using 4m and rm130 per month 4 years later... 8m speed 4 years rm89 x24 months + 160 x24 months = rm5976 compare you now 4m speed 4 years rm130 x48 months rm6240. still cheaper after 4 years than your current plan and speed double. 4 years later dont know what internet speed already dont think rm140 4m and 8m rm160 still can stand and no review, since now unifi lite already rm129 10m.

Downgrade existing streamyx to telephone RM25 to keep old number.
Apply for new tel + streamyx.
Then cancel the old number and get the new number changed to old number.
