u can use the miwifi app on phone to control the router, it is very user friendly, when somebody link to your router, u will get notification too. I can use the app to block the unknown device even I am not at home.

Lucky you to get coverage for unifi. We still stuck with no other choice.

Asus router also have same function like the xiaomi. You can install it's app to control the modem, in addition for controlling from it's IP. You can also configure to access the modem from other IP (when you not connected to the wifi), access by website or by the app. You can also reboot the modem from app or website.

Also can set upload/download limit by each device. Can monitor the internet speed. Can setup ftp and samba. Parental controls, wifi block by mac. It also have USB port to connect hard drive which you can use it's download manager for direct download and torrent. Which then can be stream to other device, or even over the internet.

Any newer Asus modem with usb and have latest software have those function.

Hey guy, do you heard TM got release limited package for Streamyx 4Mbps with free tablet?
As checked for it, the Streamyx 4Mpbs limited package is RM126/mth (RM88 Streamyx 4Mbps + Voice Deal RM38). This is is lowest 4Mbps package.

Currently I'm holding Streamyx 4Mbps with monthly RM140 excl GST. Is it possible to change to this limited package with free tablet?
I just want to reduce the monthly streamyx expenses.. (Save few siki ringgit amount also can..) Kinda expensive for Streamyx and already live this residential area more than 5 years still did not have Unifi coverage yet.

I have call to TM call center, ask me need to do at TM point. Go to TM Point, seems like they don't want to do this. Need cooling period bla bla bla...
Feel like no commission at all if customer want to change to free tablet plan. Haizz...

The main reason to get Unifi or Maxis Fibre is ping low using wired connection.
Less lag when play games like Dota 2 or any PS4 games. Hope 1 day i will use LAN Cable to connect to internet.. huhu...

Yeah they are wearing the orange TM contractor shirt and there are signs with TM on it. I guess I'll just ask them myself. Would be damn nice if it is indeed fiber cable lol.

i have been considering to change the original router for some time now, but scared difficult to setup.

before, i can change it using tm's mytm website, then this year they shut the site down, and need to re-register at unifi.com portal. now the page to change the pppoe password is gone.

ps-i do know how to change the settings on my modem.
