If you have the time to manage it yourself I know a place that is selling granite table top for 60persqf. So 1 foot run is rm120. But they only do cutting and delivery. You have to go and measure and give it to them. Their main business is tiles. Anyway I pm you. Btw just to make it clear I am not afflicted with anyone. Just that I am shopping and ermm looking around also

Yeah. They sell per foot so 1 foot run is rm120. Quite a lot of choice got sangxi black galaxy black and what not. But like I said they only cut and deliver. Don't think they do installation. You can go to Sing Mee at cheras. It's at taynton opposite leisure mall. Main business is tiles.
Got my tiles there

so if measurement off a bit will be problem? coz have to send back to cut? or the contractor installing for you will cut for you to achieve the right fit?
*
Well that the risk. If off then I suppose you can send back to the guy to recut it or give a nominal fee to your kc guy to do it. I didn't buy from them cause it's quite troublesome. But if you got time to manage it why not. Also don't forget the sink needs to be install too. Again they only cut and send to you. You need to install it yourself.

very troublesome if the fella just cut for you but dont deliver and install cause no one will take up this task. if some dimensions are wrong, then you really headache.

the person doing the stone should -
1. come measure the table top of your cabinet carcass once it is ready
2. cut the stone to the measured dimension and also necessary holes for hob and sink
3. deliver and install the final piece

one step out of this arrangement, you better get somebody else

Yup I agree that's why I did not do it. But if it's a small project like a simple vanity top I think it's worth it.

Materials aside, minimum charges for workmanship and delivery is RM400, last time I asked.

If looking for a small piece only, best to go straight to a few shops/factory and ask if they have a half-cut/ random-cut/ scrap piece. Then can get much cheaper.
If they cut a new one for you , they will charge you for the whole slab, no matter how small is your piece.

Besides the material/stone, the factory will also charge you for making the edges, per foot run.
