Industry standard you get 16mm board, Ikea i believe they are 18mm and they have low formaldehyde. Local supplier usually wont bother with formaldehyde as it is not gov requirement. even china now pushing for e1 most local or indo supplier still e3, extremely smelly when they are still newly sawed.

China is increasingly adopting a lot of new emission regulations and strictly enforcing it.

Plywood definitely has it too as does GLULAM boards/beams.

Personally i dont like Alu KC due to the material they use tend to be very thin 1-1.2mm wall, not like industry used 2020/4040 aluminium profiles. and it makes the whole kitchen feels very cold. if you want better resistance get plywood made, blockboard also fine, make sure supplier PU coat all surfaces and seal all edges then you cabinet will last a long time Ikea can warranty you 25yrs with 18mm chipboard, plywood or blockboard sure can last longer if properly constructed. My parents 30yrs old cabinet Polykem/pvc laminated just turn a little yellow due to aging but you can remove yellowing using various methods.

I prefer raw plywood surface carcass as white too. one thing to keep in mind the most expansive cost of making the cabinet is not the material but the labor.

Standard 6x8 double white chipboard =RM98 enought to build standard tall unit carcass. most company charge RM 600-800 per tall unit then you can calculate the cost behind it. Edge-banding they usually have machine to do it else they can buy pre-glue edge band to do it manually.

Does all hood and hob has standard size for installation?
Cos im planning to buy hood and hob first when there is sale

Later on after settle plaster ceiling and grille
Then i will hire a kithcen cabinet contractor
But I scared got different size and therefore affected the installation and incur extra charges as its not safe like their spec for installation

Hob is not standard- different cut out size. They will need to cut out the countertop (e.g. granite, quartz, marble, laminate, butcherblock) and it shouldn't be a problem.

Hood is pretty standard. Hood width is usually 90cm. The slim hood width is 60cm.

I bought my hood, oven and hob before choosing my kitchen cabinet contractor. I decided to use induction so had to do additional electric wiring for it. And also wiring the hood so it is concealed after installation.
