usb, dock(dk36), magnetic cable same for me... +-3 hours..

my cheap magnetic cable (rm29, exact same one sold in sony center) charges just fine. about 3 hours full charge.

But I find charging the phone a little annoying.

When I charge, the auto-rotate is enabled automatically and no way to disable it. Quite annoying when I'm using it on bed

maybe try turning on Smart Screen Rotation?

i dont know how much is the cost to deliver all the way to malaysia but i think it should be worth it...

apparently the guys at xda-forum has managed to get the people at evolutive labs to make the rhino shield crash guard bumper for the xperia z3 compact!

evolutive labs did one for iphone previously and it got so many backers/pledgers for it...hopefully we can do the same for this one..so come and join in the fun peeps! they need to get 1400 pre-orders before they can start production of this wonderful thing :-D

I just watched the video on the link. it seems the unique feature is the extra damage absorbence.

I'm not entirely convinced though that it's *that* unique. And the bumper does seem a bit thick.

Anyone has used this product on other phones and what is your opinion about it?

Were you lying on your back or the other way round? I dont have such problems. Must be your phone. Send me a pic of you and your phone, will try to troubleshoot.

Seriously? How possible tempered glass could cause the phone can't be charged via dock?

Currently I am using magnetic dock to charge my phone and I wanna get tempered glass for my phone too so curious if the statement above is true. Or r u actually referring to phonecase?!

I am speaking based from my experience as I have a tempered glass. With the tempered glass, you need to use the phone without casing, to fit to their connector. Or get a casing thick enough to use the dock without the connector which is what I am doing now.

The case only available for the iPhone right now and only recently start shipping, so there's really really few people have this case now.
It can survive a 24ft drop and only 2.5mm thick, no other case does this and be this thin afaik.

The design for the case for Z3C isnt done yet. So we do know how it will look like yet.

its the thickness of the glass that caused the phone cant fit into the dock. the standard thickness of a glass protector is 0.33mm. if you want a glass that fits into the dock, you must look for something 0.15mm and thinner (like PET film protectors).

Yeah, if you use casing and dock, make sure to double check the thickness of the SP before you get it.

Anyways, with regards to battery life, I'm easily getting 1d 9h of battery life with 30% remaining with 2.5h sot with my current Z1C.

I'm pretty sure the Z3C will score much much higher than this. I think 1d 20h easily.

With Z3, I already achieved amazing scores.

The magnetic cable I bought in Lowyat forum garage sale and the my DK48 gives the same output rate. Both using the Sony charging adapter which we get from the box.

There is a Dual Sim version of the Z3 but never heard there is one for the Z3 Compact though.

I've ordered two types of magnetic cable, and cheaper one plastic head, and another slightly more expensive one with metal head. I can tell exactly how fast it charges,because i use an app.

Plastic head, charge average 700ma
Metal head, charge average 900ma

So there is a real difference between cables
