Ok guys i get this "New Sim Card detected" everytime i start the phone it the message say:

"Looks like you've switched Sim cards. An activation message will be sent to enable cloud messaging. You may incur regular fees from your mobile service provider."

So now i should click OK or Cancel ??

By the way whats this Cloud messaging has to do with the sim card ??

Also every time i try to add a new contact i get error "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped" .. so what the hack is this all mess ??

Thanks first shakehead.gif

MIUI ram management is erratic... I have to play a heavy game and exit the game to get back 400+MB free RAM. If not it's always around 300+MB.
*
a heavy app, then quit the app would trigger the garbage collector

I see. Then xiaomi should really work on this problem. are you an android developer?
*
most android apps written in java,
java is a manage language, memory management is being manage by the dalvik virtual machine (for android)
from time to time, especially when memory lows, the garbage collector will kick in to clean up
and claim back free memory

memory management can be bad also if the apps that we use is not properly develop

so its 2 parts - core android has to be good and the third party external apps also have to be good

Goto Settings>Apps>Select 'All' tab>Scroll down to 'Contacts and dialer' and 'Contacts Storage'> Clear 'data' for both of them. I think you will lose your contacts by doing so. Easier if you import your vcards into your Gmail (google account) first, and edit your contacts in gmail then sync.

If that doesn't work, you might have to factory reset the phone.

Or should i root the phone first ??

This is a really good phone. Such a waste Xiaomi only put 1GB ram on it. The battery charger just awesome, no more power-bank or wall charging, means can play with the phone all day long. Needless to say the perfect size and superb camera.

The biggest issue for this phone is the ram management, it cause random crash on game like Dead Trigger 2, Fifa 14, Asphalt 8, Summoners War and maybe more, its so so annoying.

Any solution to solve this (not clean master etc, it wont help)? Sick of waiting solution from Xiaomi really.

Is there anyway to make orange backlight for the capacitive keys brighter? Also the swiftkey/google keyboard is separate from the play store one(The swiftkey won't swype for some reason even though I enabled in settings)? Can install the play store one side by side?

Overall my first impressions are pretty good. The phone fits well in the hand and the plastic is not slippery. I like the option to receive mms even with data off. Cons are battery life is pretty weak mostly due to the screen. Maybe they should have gone with a smaller screen. And the speaker volume is pretty low even at max volume.

Thats mean i have to root my phone first is it ??

QUOTE(xperiaVuser @ Sep 8 2014, 06:46 AM)
Where is this 'configure sim card' option? Try to import contacts from sim to phone first, then only do the editing on the phone.
*
Contacts -> Settings -> Organize contacts -> configure SIM card.

By the way I ask few times already but no one answer me this. Everytime i start my phone the Mi CLoud will ask me to send something to 33488 to activate my sim card. Is this really necessary ??

Yeah i know i can import number from Sim to phone & then edit number from there but 1) There is a delete option to delete any sim number -> "configure sim card" but error occur. 2) Sim number & phone number appear to together in the contact list.

Also if i can flash the phone without root so which version i should download ??

1. Redmi 1s-WCDMA/CDMA China - Version: JHCCNBF37.0 (V5) ??
2. Redmi 1s-TD - Version: JHFCNBF18.0 (V5)??
or
3. Redmi 1s-WCDMA Global - Version: JHCMIBF36.0 (V5) ??

Thanks first
