I've been reading the official forums, is the battery and memory problem widespread? Anyone face these issues? Surprised to read some people feel the mtk redmi is better. Hope my phone no problem when it comes, it's for my dad.

Arghh, really regret now buying from lazada. The gdex website said the phone reached ipoh 3/9 but until now no sign of deliveryman. Just now I call ipoh office, first time they picked up but no sound then hang up, then my follow up calls no one pick up!! The office is so damn far too. Now people talk about phone hanging, ughh, this is quickly turning into nightmare.

when you say miui ram management is bad do you mean the launcher? Does changing default launcher help?

Edit: I received my phone today. Was surprised gdex delivers on a sunday. Going to play with it now.

Is there anyway to make orange backlight for the capacitive keys brighter? Also the swiftkey/google keyboard is separate from the play store one(The swiftkey won't swype for some reason even though I enabled in settings)? Can install the play store one side by side?

Overall my first impressions are pretty good. The phone fits well in the hand and the plastic is not slippery. I like the option to receive mms even with data off. Cons are battery life is pretty weak mostly due to the screen. Maybe they should have gone with a smaller screen. And the speaker volume is pretty low even at max volume.

Can you enter fastboot accidentally while the phone is on? My dad's phone got stuck at the fastboot logo today while in his pocket. Had to remove battery. The phone was quite warm.

My phone rebooted into fastboot mode again. This is the third time this happened. And it wasn't accidental because I tried to see if I could reproduce the problem by holding power+volume down, it did a normal reboot with the phone on.
