no crystal balls, thus waiting for more blood first before lumping in (yeah, to typo there - L not J tongue.gif )

Just a thought notworthy.gif
oops PS: referring to the big bad S&P500 index yar sweat.gif (not DJ or NASDAQ)

My portfolio update and commentary:

Last month was a volatile ride. Things go up and down and up and down... For those who cannot stomach it, should increase cash exposure to earn 3.XX% interest almost risk free! Which is not too bad. I heard some FD are giving close to 4.00% interest nowadays...

Looking up in Oct-14, my algo prompted me to plough back my money into M'sia large cap (KGF and ESMYFocus) which I have pared down three months ago. I believe this is consistent with the recent sell down in Bolehland index recently.

This month I pared down my US holding by 15% and move the money back into Bolehland large cap.

Small cap and commodity remain unchanged, meaning... I did not increase not decrease. I think small cap may have reach its zenith at the short term time-frame. Commodity will have potential to move up, but it is highly volatile and one should only expose to it if you have an aggressive appetite.

I have also Increased REITs exposure by 20% for its good non-correlation to conventional equities.

Xuzen

p/s: I don't hold Asia-Pac x-Jp in my portfolio per-se coz I gain that exposure through Hwang-PRS Growth fund. No point duplicating it. For those asking, how come I know which will go up, which will not? Actually I don't know, but I am merely regurgitating analyst report that I receive from various fund houses day in day out.

- AMB income trust
- AMB dana Arif
- AMdynamic Sukuk
- RHB-OSK Bond Fund

In a statement on Thursday, the group opined that global equity markets remained resilient despite moving into the quieter months of the year.

"Investors appeared to be taking it well the Ukraine conflict and the escalating problems in the Middle East. We believe that liquidity was the main driver in the market," it said.

On the Malaysian front, the group said is has been smooth sailing economic-wise.

Wong Seafood,

My 1-month and 3-months UT portfolio return in the red, 12-months return fell below 3% for the first time doh.gif

Luckily my Bolehland stocks flying, more than covered the dismal performance of my UT portfolio. Total investment portfolio 12-months return: 11%+ blush.gif

Any comments on the state of markets? Are u on topping up/bargain buying mode already? unsure.gif

oops - read yr moving-12mths' profit dropped 3%+ (old folks' common prob with eyes & ears sweat.gif )

anyhow - yeah, what i shared still holds since U asked about "state of markets" ma
FYI - S&P500 did fall 3%+ from it's highest close in Sep 18th/19th, thus sort of mixed up response to yr +3% profit for moving 12 mths' smile.gif
