Am i the only one that thought ww is overrated? It is still good film but the high rating is becoz of woman lead n feminisim lol...

I thought WW is damn good until the 3rd act ruins it. They get characters right in WW and that's the most important part. I buy the romance between Steve and Diana.

In Aquaman though...lol there were zero chemistry between the two. Amber Heard is terrible. Momoa is tolerable at least thanks to his ridiculous bro-ish persona.

I have read comments ranging from 'because Gal Gadot is hot' to 'someone paid the reviews' to what you just mentioned

Patty Jenkins' fine direction combined with a 'girl discovers modern age' story as well as some stellar acting performances was what made the film great.

WW is still the best DCEU film to date (for me).

A streak of badly received DC films and everyone loses their minds, and now an 'average' at best Aquaman is hailed as 'DC's return to form'

She can't act. The little 'side quest' they did in Italy was a cringe-fest... as said Jason Mamoa still had his persona to carry the film forward no matter how drab it got. There was absolutely no chemistry between the two, compared to Steve & Diana. WW's 3rd act jumped the shark a bit but I think the ending was satisfying and emotional enough. Really looking forward to 2020's WW84.

"Aquaman" and "Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom" are the two of my lowest rated films of the year... though both still managed to entertain me enough to not warrant them as absolute stinkers.

I am enjoyed watching Aquaman. Its like an adventure movie to me. Jason Momoa made Aquaman a superhero that everyone starting to admire unlike before this where Aquaman was labeled as "the useless superhero" among DC lineup. I would recommend you all bring your wife and kids to watch it.

However, best DCEU so far would be WW followed with Aquaman. Both are rewatchable. Personally, this is what Warner Brothers should did earlier, introducing solo movie for each of their DC heroes and then do JL later. As for Batman, we can have his movie later since too many Batman rebooted same as Spiderman's movie for Marvel (dont wanna see Bruce's parent died getting murder over and over again).

Salute to James Wan and Petty Jenkin for saving my confidence on DCEU. We need more good director, storywriters and no intervention from WB's execs in order to produce a good superhero movie.

Don't think DC is back yet. For next year they only have Shazam and Joker to show. Doubt they will do big numbers like their cousins. WW'84 push to the following year.

Meanwhile 3 from MCU, 2 from Fox X-Men and Hellboy will be vying for your ticket purchases.

During Comic Con most likely they will hype up WW'84, Joker and maybe Birds of Prey sneak preview or a major announcement.

Until they confirmed the next solid gameplan for Batman and Superman, DC will still be playing catch-up. Personally hope the Joker succeed cause it can branch off to mine those Classic elseworld tales that has nothing to do with continuity of main storyline. They can entice actors that don't want to limit themselves in a long term commitment to a single role. If the audience able to accept 2 different Joker at the same time, don't see the reason they are unable to handle more than just one Batman or Superman.

I rike the whole action scenes very well made.

But the story & plot. Meh.

ps: Go watch it is still a good superhero movie

Just got the chance to "watch" Aquaman, damn it was so good! Cinematography is great, VFX is stunning, and this movie is full of emotion, can't believe I skipped this, was too busy last month. This is by far the best DCEU film for me, definitely beats the overrated Wonder Woman. Solid 5/5 from me.

I like the storyline.

When Mera (Amber) met Aquaman for the 1st time, you can feel the power in her voice.

Very charismatic.

And husky



There are plenty of hillarious moments.



Other than Jason and Amber, the other cast are either old and regular/familiar.

We need fresh faces.


Ending is a bit weak and lame though.

Aquaman is only good with its stunning visual. Story wise is pretty straightforward, in fact it's quite rush nearing the end.

For DCEU, this is good for their brand as the past films were mostly rubbish except WW. They have some great movies lining up in the next 2-3 years. Luckily they changed the lead for Joker to Joaquin. With Jared Leto, confirm it will fucking flop.
