The 70-200 F2.8L is selling for RM6200 cash. Others I am not sure.
L-series are lens differ in their contruction and optical elements. The anti-vibration term for Canon is IS (Image Stabilizer) and Nikon VR (Vibration Reduction).

a Canon or Nikon with an IS/VR lens. Sony/KM lenses arent exactly cheap either and their equivalent glass WITHOUT IS ar actually more expensive than the Canons and Nikons which do. and iinm some of the lenses actually went up in price a little after the Sony takeover

Canon's not the only one with white lense now.. Nikon's white lense is slowly appearing too! Reasoning? I don't know.. but it's every bit as long, hard, cold, white and sexy

Torn between 350D and the 400D. 350D because the price has dropped significantly with the 400D coming out.

The Nikon 'white lens' is actually 'Light Grey' ... you only have to look closer.

For the price difference, if I would be going for better megapixels (better quality) and bigger LCD screen (clearer preview), the EOS 400D is definitely a better investment compared to its previous model. You've got nothing to loose.

Put it this way, the price of the 350D will go down even FURTHER after you purchase ... as long as it's still in the market, people will still sell it at a price. Either way you will regret purchasing the camera in the end if you keep on going for a lower price.

Owners of 350D will be selling their used units for much cheaper than what the stores are selling. Used la, but cheap cheap.

I just said to myself, dang I can't wait anymore, they're not giving free lenses with the new 400D so I went out and got myself a 350D.

I think I saw it in the news paper today that 400D is selling for 3.5K for kit lense when launching. This weekend, i think.
