Our message ady can backup in Microsoft server isn't it?
In messaging setting can backup.
And my contacts are saved in my Microsoft account, so no big deal too

yes, we already have sms/contact auto backup to M$ server, my only concern is duplicate contacts restore from both server and local backup.

yes, recently I got a merged set of outdated import-from-sim contacts with updated ms account contacts.. I'm still sorting out the mess two weeks later.

since windows phone doesn't allow us to update sim contacts, I feel this new option to make a local back up has some value.

This app is good for those who wants to switch to another Lumia with a different Microsoft account.

Hi again...

I've emptied all my Messages, deleted all my synced emails from all folders and unsync-ed my email account but it still shows 80MB of space being used. How is this possible?

yeah, there is a 3rd apps to lock screen but this one direct double tab on navigation bar.

Is the "Download messages from" settings in your Messaging app is set to "any time"?

Microsoft closed their Windows Phone Developer Preview forum.

It makes me wonder if there will be any more updates to WP8.1 under the Preview. Hopefully, they would officially push out GDR2 at least while we wait for Windows 10 Mobile.
