QUOTE(kcng @ Sep 14 2007, 07:57 PM) my experiment with different petrol brand (with same driving style for different cars is like that) wah, esso / mobil actually gives you more mileage? And shell as well?RM 70 per tank 1 is best milage 4 is lousiest city (idsi) - RM 70 per tank (milage before lights come out) 1) esso / mobil - 550 km 2) shell - 500 +- km 3) bhp - 480 +- km 4) petronas - 420 +- km <-- paling caltex/projet din try before satria neo 1.6 version - RM 70 per tank 1) esso / mobil - 420 km +- 2) shell / bhp - 400 km +- 3) petronas - 350 km +- din try caltex / projet vios - RM 70 per tank 1) shell - 500 km +- 2) esso / mobil - 470 km +- 3) bhp - 430 km +- din try caltex / projet dunno about others la but that is the rough average figure i get..... Hmm.. interesting. How come you can only go up to 400+ on city idsi with petronas?? (now i'm wondering if my city idsi drink fuel or is this normal?) Most people told me my city idsi drink fuel and go do something bout it as it can only go up to 400+km with petronas for full tank (and yes that is rm70+-). I do notice that my acceleration is a bit jumpy when i floor the pedal (i'm assuming it's my spark plugs). But yeah, is this normal? 400+km for full tank ? |

Can say a bit modded most "normal" driver NEVER floor their pedal... so if ur driving is the fast and furious kind, and your tires and brake pads wear out faster then normal, then 400+ km on your city iDSI can be considered quite good. Usually i tend to drive a bit faster than average driver. But i rarely floor my City, just sometimes accelerate quick to overtake (and i do lots of overtaking) But 400km / fuel tank is normal? Huh.. i tot city save fuel and can go up to 550km / RM60, meaning if rm70 about 600+leh? Wah so many nice drivers aa out there?? I just dun believe it |

My IDSI can do the savest at 12.22sen/km. You CITY still haven't turns to normal.400km per tank is too little already.

IDSI would be best alternative.. Added on September 16, 2007, 12:50 pmIf pumping RM70 = 36 litre and calculating with the fact given by FEAT (26KM/L).. the car should go roughly 900KM (36x26=936) and I believe only driving smooth, no sudden acceration, clear the stuff in the trunk and driving not more than 3K RPM can able to do up to 900KM... Have any IDSI owner try??? Planning to get Pre-owned IDSI city This post has been edited by kethon27: Sep 16 2007, 12:51 PM |

Like jerks when trying to overtake, etc? I experienced this a lot if i shifted to S gear. Tell me if you do something and fixed your mileage. I think the same fix can go for my idsi city as well. On the other hand, it's good to know that you're not alone |

Fuh, many CT owner suffer bad fc meh?
As for me, nearly 3rd year of ownership, my CT give me around 600km with RM80 petronas punya petrol.. other brand tried, but just stick to PETRONAS.. i notice if my tire is under pressure, lets say, it recommended on 230psi (something) but i put lower than that, my fc will be bad, really bad.. around 380km with rm80. Believe or not, with full tank @ Rm85, i can last from Kuala Terengganu to Sabak Bernam, with average 140km/h driving with full load.. Rite now, i'm using 17" rims ( kyowa racing series x something), continental sportcontact 1(205/40/17), eibach pro kit spring, mugen imitation twinloop+bullet from kweng.. so far my fc is okay.. |

yeah, tire pressure affects fuel consumption. recommended 32psi front, 30psi rear.
my city averages between 400-450km for 35litres of petrol. |
