I won't reveal anything, but Remember (2015) is the best and most captivating movie I have watched in a very long while. Go watch it.
at your suggestion, i watched it.

yes, a good one.

a well paced drama with briliant acting from christopher plummer.

and the part with dean norris was intense. biggrin.gif

With one eye, his special ability was pretty much limited compared to two eyes.  nod.gif

True until he figured out what grandpa & pa meant when they spoke about his "Path/Journey.. Begins... ". He was able to transform into his full form with that one eye (without grandpa's help this time) and If I recall correctly, that was one of the pivotal moments in the movie.. smile.gif

In the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California, a rescue-chopper pilot makes a dangerous journey with his ex-wife across the state in order to rescue his daughter. rolleyes.gif

IMDB - 6.1/10 smile.gif

Great special effects with an average storyline but I have problem with unrealistic scenes. While the earthquake and tsunami were very intense, the main casts seems very calm. Anyway, this movie deserves credit for displaying of what potential danger we could face in the future or humankind. It could be your stereotype disaster movie but I must say actress Alexandra Daddario aka Blake Gaines simply look stunning beautiful! Movie tips - Buy a helicopter! brows.gif

An ex-logger comes to the aid of a woman who returns to her hometown in the Pacific Northwest and finds herself harassed and stalked by a former cop turned crime lord. wink.gif

IMDB - 5.1/10 nod.gif

This movie is quite unique in it's own because we are not searching any paranormal, supernatural, serial killer or psychotic stuff but just a badass named Blackway. The plot may be a little bit draggy in the beginning but everything becomes clear later on. Anthony Hopkins may be old but he still got it! Just weird if people would say Julia Stiles is pretty. Is she? This movie has loads of conversation rather than actions for most of the time. A simple but effective after midnight movie with popcorn next to you. smile.gif

if u like eagles of the 70s and the 80s, you should like alan parsons project... turn of a friendly card, eye in the sky, ammonia avenue...

co-founder and vocalist eric woolfson has since passed on, but alan parsons is still at it.

alan parsons symphonic project live in colombia is a 2013 concert, backed by a symphony orchestra.

just released in bluray dtshdma 5.1, u know where to get it.

Not quite my cup of tea.

I prefer Legends of Jazz with Ramsey Lewis (2006) better.

Victor Victoria (1982)

In the spirit of La Cage aux Folles (1978) (The French [original] version of Birdcage (1996)), Julie Andrews headline this movie, in which she shed her goody two shoes image (wanna be nun and English Nanny)!

I am doing what I usually do not do, provided a synopsis of the movie.

Victoria Grant (Julie Andrews) a starving Opera singer meets Carole "Toddy" Todd (Robert Preston) equally financially low talent scout, in Paris.

After their chance meeting and discovering that Victoria can hit a perfect "G" (which shatters glass), Toddy comes up with the idea of Victoria, pretending to be Victor (a guys) who is the BEST female impersonator in the world!

They managed to convince a club owner, Andre Cassell (John Rhys-Davies) to give them a show, which turns out to be a hit.

At the same show Andre invited a wealthy American club owner, King Marchand (James Garner) in which he did, and he was mesmerised by Victoria and even gave her a standing ovation (much to the chagrins of his girlfriend Norma Cassady (Lesley Ann Warren)). And when it was revealed that Victoria is actually Victor, he was horrified!!! Mayhem ensues.... laugh.gif

Henry Mancini wrote all the music for this, not sure if it is he last work, and the music is great!!

I like the Le Jazz Hot best, though Crazy World seems to be the movie maker's favorite.

The highlight? Seeing Robert Preston doing the Shady Dame From Seville!!!

Definitely NOT for everyone. And have to add if you like The Birdcage, you will like this.

Interestingly, Julie Andrews reprised the role many years later in Broadway!

Hail, Caesar! (2016)

It is amazing how they managed to recreate old Hollywood

Also amazing how they took what was a "witch hunt" during the 50's for communist which in this movie turns out to be true!!

Great movie,

Great Cast.

Great direction.

And a really funny movie.

Sky High (2005)

A silly heroes going to school movie produced by Disney (before the purchase of Marvel) which is quite good and does survive multiple viewing.

Quite like this.

Not sure why they did not made a part 2....

Not to be confused with Zoom (2006) which is a disaster.

Batman v superman ultimate edition, some extra fight screen. Nice sound effect, somehow I like this comparing the recent marvel.

An American nanny is shocked that her new English family's boy is actually a life-sized doll. After she violates a list of strict rules, disturbing events make her believe that the doll is really alive. dry.gif

IMDB - 6.0/10 hmm.gif

Holy crap what have I just watched? A thriller that fails to deliver. I can understand what the producers were trying to do but somehow it just fell flat. There's nothing horror but just cheap thrill. I don't think this movie deserved to be a 6 out of 10. The castings were average and the plot was plain lazy. If you're a horror fan, this might not be your greatest collector's item. Movie tips - Dolls are just dolls! doh.gif

Legends of Jazz: Showcase (2006)

If you want a true definition of the English word "MASTERFUL", watch this.

Every single performance, masterful.

Highlights for me are

Take That - Al Jarreau & Kurt Elling
They Can't Take That Away From Me - Jane Monnet & John Pizzarelli
Obsession - Dave Valentin

If you are a fan of Jazz, you know what to do.
