Emma, a graduate student living alone in NYC, is being watched by a stalker who hacks into the technology that surrounds her - laptop, cell phone, and other web connected devices. This obsession continues to grow as the hacker records Emma's most intimate moments. When the thrill of watching isn't enough, the situation escalates to a dangerous and terrifying level. unsure.gif

IMDB - 4.4/10 blush.gif

Found footage fans will definitely force their way into this movie but other than the thrill of listening dramatic/suspense sound effects, nothing really great. dry.gif

A frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s fights for survival after being mauled by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. cool2.gif

IMDB - 8.1/10 thumbup.gif

At first sight, I thought this was sure going to be another typical tribesmen political war but eventually it's all about survival, revenge, determination and the will to live on. thumbsup.gif

The movie speak for itself. Many many secret in their eyes. The storyline was understandable and the ending I was like, WTH? ohmy.gif

Strange things begin to happen when a group of friends gather for a dinner party on an evening when a comet is passing overhead. unsure.gif

IMDB - 7.1/10 blush.gif

At first it may seems like an old friends gathering movie but strange things happening and it gets stranger when I am starting to get confused myself right till the end. Twisted plot that needs a lot of attention and yet no genuine answers but rather more random theories. confused.gif

Ivan Locke, a dedicated family man and successful construction manager, receives a phone call on the eve of the biggest challenge of his career that sets in motion a series of events that threaten his carefully cultivated existence. sad.gif

IMDB - 7.1/10 mega_shok.gif

One would think how to succeed by producing only an actor throughout the entire movie and make it as a brilliant movie. Well this might not be everyone's cup of tea but I bet very few of us can actually be brave to make the choices like he made! A good if not great late night movie! notworthy.gif

really, with all the cgi tech and great actors/stuntmen, everything can be made in the studio.

external scenes can be shot and modified to whatever way it's required.

all the nice scenaries are not real but computer effects.

everything is revealed in "the making" of movies.

pearl harbor - all the scenes were shot in 2001 but modified to look like 1941.

matrix - most of the great action shots were filmed in the studio with hundreds of cameras placed in a 360 deg ring.

avatar, lord of the rings - most shots were made indoors with lots of wires attached to the bodies with blue suits for cgi manipulation.

that's modern day movies. biggrin.gif

Yup! I have to agree, the bear scene was the highlight and gruesome too! nod.gif

IMDB - 7.2 notworthy.gif

Two things for sure, this guy never misses and he'll track your "S" down all life long! An action pack movie all the way and an unforgettable character played by Keenu Reeves. Highly recommended! thumbup.gif

The Boy (2016)

Okay. This is something different.

Firstly, there is alot of drama in this "horror" movie.

And frankly for a "horror" movie, way TOO much drama!!

Greta Evans (Lauren Cohan) is an American running away from her past . In fact, she ran all the way to England, and became a nanny (A fan of Mary Poppins maybe?? laugh.gif)

She works for a very wealthy family, the Heelshire, taking care of their son, Brahms.

When she was first introduced to Brahms (her first day), she was shock to find that he is a 2.5" porcelain doll!!!

She also met the local grocer, Malcolm (Rupert Evans, last seen by me in Hellboy) on her first day.

I know, it sound a little prozac'ed, and for much of the movie it is.

The ending does redeem itself a little, I just wish more things had happened during the course of the movie.

Granted, I wasn't paying that much attention, was cleaning my apartment whilst watching this (distracted?)... Maybe need to re-watch...

Will keep you posted.

Friends gather at a wedding, but the celebration is shattered by terrifying apocalyptic events forcing them to examine life, love and faith as they must choose between redemption and survival. cool2.gif

IMDB - 4.3/10 blink.gif

I'm not kinda religious guy but I don't know about you guys. At first glance it may look like a post zombie apocalypse horror movie but as the plot thickens, it's more about confession, faith, rejection and acceptance. A little bit confused when it's actually a semi found footage genre. However the sound effects were fantastic. Just barely okay but not great movie. smile.gif

An affable underachiever finds out he's fathered 533 children through anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years ago. Now he must decide whether or not to come forward when 142 of them file a lawsuit to reveal his identity. rolleyes.gif

IMDB - 6.4/10 smile.gif

Great lesson for future fathers but don't expect it as a full comedy movie because this is serious! It has so many heartfelt moments which is quite rare for an English semi comedy movie. I don't think this movie has a lot to offer in terms of entertaining your day but the drama was really really warm in heart. wink.gif

A Jewel thief named Frank Stone is a very deeply disturbed, anti social, milquetoast who finds no joy or humor in anything - until he awakens from a deep coma. unsure.gif

IMDB - 5.7/10 hmm.gif

This movie is recommended for those seeking something odd. A classic 70's atmosphere. It seems like a low budget B grade movie considering the way the movie was directed but I think overall it was quite cool. Funny and weird as it is, the plot was direct, simple and yet insane! If you think of John Wick, here comes Frank Stone! I did enjoyed this movie on a Friday midnight. rclxms.gif

An intimate portrait of a 9-year-old sociopath's growing fascination with death. blink.gif

IMDB - 5.5/10 mega_shok.gif

First of all don't be confused with this movie and the other "The Boy 2016" movie like me! Set in a lonely location, this movie provide nothing entertaining and have almost zero interesting plot. It's a place where kids not supposed to grow up or they'll end up becoming a sociopath. It failed to engage with me and definitely not a movie for lonely people out there especially with depression problem. Slow pace, lousy storytelling and boring. You wouldn't want to have a life like in this movie, trust me! yawn.gif

Two Young boys encounter a fugitive and form a pact to help him evade the vigilantes that are on his trail and to reunite him with his true love. innocent.gif

IMDB - 7.4/10 smile.gif

If you're into a dialogue movie, this could be for you. Although it's a slow pace movie but everything makes sense and entertaining too! I thought the lead cast were fantastic. There's nothing much of action at least until the ending part but overall the plot was good. A well directed movie and a great folk atmosphere. nod.gif

A newlywed couple cancels their honeymoon and returns to the snowy Midwest to make the funeral arrangements for their best man, who died unexpectedly after their ceremony. shakehead.gif

IMDB - 6.4/10 thumbsup.gif

This is a touchy movie. It's all about LUMPY! He may be just a best man who died unexpectedly but you'll know his impact even after his death. Highly recommended for those seeking the true meaning of love. You can only live once, enjoy the moment! wub.gif
