Watched a sorta oldie cult classic last night.

The boondock saints (1999)

If you like funny action with over the top tarantino style filming. Check this out. Its about two brothers who manage to slip into becoming vigilanties and work on cleaning up their town. Good stuff.

Friends gather at a wedding, but the celebration is shattered by terrifying apocalyptic events forcing them to examine life, love and faith as they must choose between redemption and survival. cool2.gif

IMDB - 4.3/10 blink.gif

I'm not kinda religious guy but I don't know about you guys. At first glance it may look like a post zombie apocalypse horror movie but as the plot thickens, it's more about confession, faith, rejection and acceptance. A little bit confused when it's actually a semi found footage genre. However the sound effects were fantastic. Just barely okay but not great movie. smile.gif

An affable underachiever finds out he's fathered 533 children through anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years ago. Now he must decide whether or not to come forward when 142 of them file a lawsuit to reveal his identity. rolleyes.gif

IMDB - 6.4/10 smile.gif

Great lesson for future fathers but don't expect it as a full comedy movie because this is serious! It has so many heartfelt moments which is quite rare for an English semi comedy movie. I don't think this movie has a lot to offer in terms of entertaining your day but the drama was really really warm in heart. wink.gif

A Jewel thief named Frank Stone is a very deeply disturbed, anti social, milquetoast who finds no joy or humor in anything - until he awakens from a deep coma. unsure.gif

IMDB - 5.7/10 hmm.gif

This movie is recommended for those seeking something odd. A classic 70's atmosphere. It seems like a low budget B grade movie considering the way the movie was directed but I think overall it was quite cool. Funny and weird as it is, the plot was direct, simple and yet insane! If you think of John Wick, here comes Frank Stone! I did enjoyed this movie on a Friday midnight. rclxms.gif

An intimate portrait of a 9-year-old sociopath's growing fascination with death. blink.gif

IMDB - 5.5/10 mega_shok.gif

First of all don't be confused with this movie and the other "The Boy 2016" movie like me! Set in a lonely location, this movie provide nothing entertaining and have almost zero interesting plot. It's a place where kids not supposed to grow up or they'll end up becoming a sociopath. It failed to engage with me and definitely not a movie for lonely people out there especially with depression problem. Slow pace, lousy storytelling and boring. You wouldn't want to have a life like in this movie, trust me! yawn.gif

Two Young boys encounter a fugitive and form a pact to help him evade the vigilantes that are on his trail and to reunite him with his true love. innocent.gif

IMDB - 7.4/10 smile.gif

If you're into a dialogue movie, this could be for you. Although it's a slow pace movie but everything makes sense and entertaining too! I thought the lead cast were fantastic. There's nothing much of action at least until the ending part but overall the plot was good. A well directed movie and a great folk atmosphere. nod.gif

A newlywed couple cancels their honeymoon and returns to the snowy Midwest to make the funeral arrangements for their best man, who died unexpectedly after their ceremony. shakehead.gif

IMDB - 6.4/10 thumbsup.gif

This is a touchy movie. It's all about LUMPY! He may be just a best man who died unexpectedly but you'll know his impact even after his death. Highly recommended for those seeking the true meaning of love. You can only live once, enjoy the moment! wub.gif

A man is out for justice after a group of corrupt police officers are unable to catch his wife's killer. yawn.gif

IMDB - 5.1/10 hmm.gif

As much as most of us would have loved John Travolta's blockbuster movie Face/Off, this one look like your typical revenge movie. Someone took the life of the hero's loved one, that guy eventually take vengeance on evil-doers. The only big difference was he has a darn partner!? The acting was alright but some action pack looks almost unrealistic to me. I think I've have seen this plot elsewhere somewhere for sure. Anything special? wink.gif

An advertising executive is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his punishment, only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. confused.gif

IMDB - 5.8/10 unsure.gif

Okay this is one interesting remake of the 2003's Korean Oldboy. 20 years locked in a solitary confinement? I'm a little bit amused as how an advertising executive can transform himself into a vicious Kung Fu master? The storyline was okay but I'm questioning myself all the time, who did that to him and why? The ending was understandable although disgusting when I know the truth. I'm pretty sure after watching this movie and for those who have previously watched the Korean version of Oldboy might get into endless debate of which version was better. A movie not for kids but entertaining enuff. cool2.gif

A family in 1630s New England is torn apart by the forces of witchcraft, black magic and possession. sweat.gif

IMDB - 6.9/10 mega_shok.gif

If you love classic horror movie, gimme a hell yeah! It's a slow pace movie but you gotta respect the speech. If an American citizen can't fully understood their speech, how can I even with ENG subtitles? It contains heavy accent from the whole casting! What do you expect? It's a 17th century-set horror story! The plot was so confusing in the beginning mainly because of their heavy accents but as it goes on, I can finally understand what's happening! One thing positive about this movie was no bulls**t graphic was needed. The drama was real and so does the acting skills. sweat.gif
