I'm intrigued.. So I gotta ask. Is it better or worse than either of the Pacific Rim movies? Those got low IMDB scores to, but I enjoyed the storyline and of course, robots and boom boom sounds...

It is a good movie, worth to watch.

Cannot compare with Pacific Rim as it is not same type movie. Beside the boom boom sound, this Extinction came with meaningful story line.

pacific rim 2 shitty plot.

Vastly different.

Not a whole lotta action but it keeps u going.

The idea is not very original but the way it was done, u wudnt expect it.

Alright... Had time to burn and watched it... Nice plot twist.. Wasn't expecting that.. And kinda overdosed on such plot, as I just binge-watched the rest of WestWorld episodes.. Brain's all ... Coupled with those screaming kids really made me boil. How difficult is it to follow simple instructions and for love of all things holy.. keep quiet...

Edit: for the record, Pacific Rim > Extinction.. IMHO

To each his own.. Sure it wasn't the greatest.. But I still fancy my own Jaeger..

Yesterday night just finish watching my all time favor film in 4K HDR - E.T.

Very awesome transfer and the best I ever seen. It eliminate all the over expose issue.

I liked extinction, but somehow feels weird seeing the main actor trying to be serious after his character in ant man franchise

Also, the "jail" is actually a brilliant design TBH but the characters, the scripts crush this whole movie sooo badllyyy

ya…not only the pronunciation sucks, but also the chinese kungfu used, doesn't fit the movie. he should refer to jet li style.

the jail isn't brilliant design, it only fulfill first two out of three criteria:

 ‘knowing the layout, understanding the routine and help from outside or in.’ 

should not let inmates have communication with each others.

Wow! Just finish watching Ready Player One. Wow!

Until now this gonna be my best film in year 2018.

The acting is normal and not spectacular but the storyline to special effect already make this film 10/10.

Hawke(Reverend Ernst Toller), a middle-aged pastor and
a holy loner. His marriage broke up when his soldier
son died in Iraq after he encouraged him to enlist.
He spends most his days writing his journal and drinking
heavily over the mistakes he has made in life.

He tends the dwindling attendees of the Dutch Reformed church
in a small town in upstate New York. A typical day involves
showing visitors around the 250 museum-like years old church.

As he starts to question his own faith, he is further challenged,
when he was visited by 20 weeks, pregnant parishioner,
Mary Mensana (Amanda Seyfried), married to a trouble environmental
activist Michael (Philip Ettinger).
He was recently released from a Canadian jail, where he was held
for actions relating to his political activism.

Michael wants her to have an abortion, on the grounds that he
can’t justify bringing a child into this damaged world.
Mary implores Troller to counsel her husband at their home.

The dialogue between the two men is mind-bending.
Toller also shares a tragic story from his own past,
himself is a former military chaplain.
Michael’s passion re-awakens Toller, especially when he
realizes that the Big Oil polluter(Balq Industries) is sponsoring
his church.

Michael seems consoled.
But....when Mary finds an explosive vest buried in the garage.
She fears that Michael may be planning some kind of...

The film ending. Yes, Mary did intervene and did Toller go insane?
It is open to interpretation, it’s concerned less with what did
or didn’t happen.

“Can God forgive us?” is the question repeated throughout.
