Don't worry. Someone will come up with an option file that fix the names and kits.

What's the latest WE or PES series for Xbox360 that is english version? I dont want the jap want. Been looking around Penang but so far no luck.

cos konami doesn't have the license ... unlike EA's FIFA series. anyway, the team edit function of PE/WE will take care of that. for xbox 360, i don't think u can load someone elses' option file. not like those days of PS2.

downloaded the demo already. Not bad

played the demo. my impression: i'd go for the other football game (u know what i mean)

i used to ALWAYS favor the we/pes series over the other one but recently, i must say, pes is goin shi++y. pes/we series are usually better with the GAMEPLAY, not presentation (the other one is way better with presentation, licensing, soundtrack). but now?

animation very cartoonish, they run like cartoon, act like cartoon when score goals.. wth is wrong with the developer? if it aint broken, dont fix it!

so a new AI yeah? indeed. 3 of my defenders collided with each other on the pitch, and one of them ended falling (wasnt controlling neither of them). the nearest opposition striker was miles away. the heck?

and i dont like the ball physics at all (is that a volleyball theyre kickin?). and the offside mechanism is still crappy (after all this time!)

Er... It's still a DEMO.
Don't know how complete it is though.

I beg to differ, WE/PES is still the most entertaining football game for me. Regretted trying to play FIFA 07, man its way to easy to score goals. Tried the demo, and I can say, that finally the Xbox360 has its own real port of WE/PES. Controls are spot on too.

This war will never end la. So instead of comparing both games, why not just either enjoy both or enjoy the one you like the most?

The PES vs EA Sports war is turning out to be like those PS3 vs XBOX360 war.

As for me, I am sticking to FIFA coz I am just too lazy to edit the team and player names.

Agree with nick. Was about to post the same thing .... let's keep each of the FIFA & PES threads clean from any of this "FIFA vs PES" stuff. There's lots of those on the internet.

To each his own. Personally, I no longer enjoy PES/WE series, although I had hoped PES2008 would have changed my mind. But it did not, sadly.

i perfectly understand that (thats why i dont even mention that other game's name)

im just venting my frustration with the 'declining' (IMHO) gameplay quality of the we/pes series. used to really enjoy updating PES rosters (wolf) on my pc before i got my 360, just for the sake of playing REAL football (used to call the other game robotic football!)

i find the current pace of the game too fast to my liking, the players run like they skate on ice, the animation seems "off", the graphics does not look "next-gen" .... imho.

The gameplay has changed alot.

The game speed is more like the EPL which i like.

The shooting is alot better and more on par with what you can do in real life.

The passing is smoother and the AI is alot better aswell.

Fifa 08 while made some big improvments just cant cut it i am afraid.

The shooting is crap the ball still feals like it is attached to animations rather than independant ball physics skill moves are useless and players like c.ronaldo dont have there main strength speed.

The fifa team dont seem to know how football is played cause they are far from haveing a football sim.

The demo's been out for at least a month. I downloaded it using a UK account.

It's way too arcadey. Keepers spill balls way too often. Not too impressed but FIFA08 is f***ing crap so I'll still get PES.

Demos are usually only 60-70% complete of the real game so there's still hope yet.

I'm a PES fanboy, but I have to say this year, based on the demo, the game is very disappointing. While FIFA may not be perfect, it's made leaps and bounds this year and while still has many cons in gameplay that PES does better, also has many gameplay features that puts PES to shame.

This is the first time in 5 years I'm skipping out on PES. Hope it's better next year.

THis is new PES, anything since like have been chance including the gameplay, anything change to more reality... what to said, u have to start from zero to start ur another new life with PES2008, n i feel so sorry for who not gonna really cant accept to enjoy it.

PS:I dint try the Xbox360 version yet, but me already play few match on PC PES2008, is full version.

If by 'more reality' you mean three of my Portugal defenders suddenly ran into each other and two of them fell on the ground with the ball on the other side of the pitch, well then, no but thanks very much
