Australia Race Report

RED TIDE AT ALBERT PARK

The red tide has swept Albert Park as young_soul from the Ferrari team won the inaugural LYN F1 league race. It was young_soul first career win. "He was flying!" claims menmissed, who was mesmerised by young_soul race pace. Second place goes to woe.com in the McLaren who showed great composure in the race. And completing the podium is another McLaren driver, gkl83, who turn out for today race having missed yesterday's qualifying. Romours has it that he ate too much nasi lemak and that why he was missing.

And Raikkonen too finally turns up. He said " I asked my PA to book a flight to Australia, but she bought a ticket to Austria!"

Group One action :

It was chaos in Group One, as the racers make their way to the 1st corner. Edison was hit from behind and lost his rear wing in the process. Young_soul had to take evasive action went on to the grass, so does gkl too. Jiunkei then collide with menmissed, the BMW driver.

Edison retired and adrian took the lead.But it doesnt last long as one corner later, he ran wide and hit the tyre barrier. He too retired. Menmissed took the lead and the racers have not even yet complete a single lap!

But menmissed lead was also not for long as gkl83 bundled him over a couples of corners before the start finish line. And young_soul took advantage as he passed gkl83 . Then sp3cter found his way too past gkl83.

So with the first lap completed, young_soul leads, followed by sp3cter, gkl83, menmissed and jiunkei. But the action doesnt stop there, as sp3cter was tagged from behind an gkl83 took 2nd place. The position remains the same until the race finishes.

Looking back, adrian said "I was dissapointed for not scoring points today. But my focus now is next week race.". Menmissed was also dissapointed when an incident cost him the race lead. "It just a game," a calm menmissed said after the race, " But i had good fights in the race."

Group Two action :

Penzman, probably not being told by his new team, forgot to switch on his TC and he spun immediately when the lights went off. EvoHahn made a great start and was able to take the lead in the first corner. Everybody made it safely through the first corner. Just a few corners later, there's an incident involving staggy, prinze and Raikkonen.

EvoHahn tried to brake away from edwin and prinze, but both drivers kept too his tail. Penzman had to pit early to fix his cars' nose cone and was able to join the race. EvoHahn's lead wasnt long as early as lap 5 he pitted and edwin took the lead. Then tragedy befalls on prinze when he was dissconnected. The furious prinze said " I will talk to the team and maybe to streamyx".

It remained status quo as edwin pulled away in the lead. The race was a bit sterile, but all racers in the group must be congratulated as there was no major drama. "It was a shitty race," claims penzman after the race, " My race was ruined with the first lap spin.". Raikkonen on the other hand was upbeat about his performance " I was happy finishing fourth in my group. Podium?? Maybe next race."

evoHahn also in a good mood " I led the race for 5 laps! I led the race for 5 laps!" screamed evoHahn as he ran around the pits. Edwin however wasnt to be found for comments. Romours have it he was updating the points table.

It was an eventful race; joys, sadness, frustrations and actions. Congratulations to the winners, and lets the action continues in Sepang! See you there!

anyone post the fastest lap?

fastest lap for race? tat have to see the telemetry from all racer's pc...

prinze : for our group, woe sets the fastest time. At one time it was penzman !!

I did too...right before Edwin did 1:25

Nasty 1st corner in G1 I bet.
I know how you feel Edison...lost your suspension as the result of that.
Happened to me a lot of times.

Adrian..what happened?
You were leading but hit the wall at turn 2.
Too exited is it and forgot to brake?

evohahn, I saw the replay. You were using pitlane assistance rite? That's where you lost time Otherwise could have been much faster

well i got to run right after the race... here is my story....
starting laps was bang by gkl but its okay... it was pure accident i guess....
Great fight with menmissed throughout the race until got banged from him at the back.... did he get a penalty on that ? i heard he got a stop n go after that incident... The last 3 laps after the crash was a disaster for me. I think i have suspension problem caused by the crash. My car cannot go on a straight line(keeps moving towards left). Thats why the last few laps i was all over the track.... Overall, it was a great race altought i was lapped by Kenny and gkl.

G1 fastest time is 1.24.1xx, by young_soul (kenny).

eh? How you know? It was 1.24.118 I think. But my average lap were about 1.26s

argh...cant wait for nex week race to balas dendam'

after i bang both them, i also sengaja drive slow to "penalty" myself, otherwise how kenny and specter can overtake me easily, i open the road for them... if i really intended to overtake him by nasty ways, sure did it earlier when side by side b4 tat accident happened... but i been polite not report tat menmissed keep blocking me when i want to LAP him since i banged he before, dont want harsh him anymore and use proper way to "overtake" him...

regarding the first corner, i did brake and jus pressing the brake button which i was trying to avoid hitting edison( i think, a ferrari) then eventhough i hit the brake hard but still unable to avoid it and hit it..then dunno wut happened from behind or side..then the car spun..i might have hit the brakes late??coz when i saw that the car in front alredi slowing down, i just hit the brakes hard..

dun worry...juz under investigation...at least u all got finish the race...but i m DNF....still angry now

IMHO, braking early could avoid hitting the car in front.
If tailing a car...brake early to keep distance from their rear.
If brake only when we saw the car was slowing down...surely won't be enough.

Then I saw a Williamd hitted you.
only two wheels were on the ground
The Williams left front wheel went beneath your right front wheel

Angry at yourself correct?
You hitted the wall on your own
No one hitted you

anyway its nothing serious...you made a slight bump to menmissed, but in addition, you bumped Sp3cter. If it was just one, I wouldn't put your name there And I don't want to be "deciding factor" so I will ask edison_84's opinion too. Maybe add in a steward or two

yes, I know. But you kinda brake a little too late. Thing is...edison_84 flew quite far there He said that he doesn't wanna put any complaint on this incident, but since its the "hardest" accident in both G1 and G2...I think a second look at the accident in necessary.

and I have a suggestion, should we make a LYN F1C website? It would be easier to update stuff. For example, I can post the results and grouping which you guys can check from there much easier.

actually i was quite surprise how come edi's car went so far..coz if i really hit hard on him sure my car was damaged..but then my front wing was alrite and still green colour when i check back after that incident..at that particular time i was really surprise how come it flew so far..??
