Y410p? hmm.gif

No idea about the mSATA slot, not enough quota + lazy to check laugh.gif

i checked y410. It seems like y410 is using m2 instead of msata, which is still quite expensive around...
I am currently looking at flex 2-14 or z50, but wonder if 840m and survive for another 2-3 yrs

Dear Sifus, i need recommendations for new laptop

1. Preferred Brand - Mainstream brands
2. Budget - RM3500 +-500
3. Usage - web browsing, movies, casual gaming, office work, music
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 15"

My priority is screen quality (i like vivid, true white colours), sleek design and quietness.

Currently looking at Z50 / Flex 2 15, but sceptical about the screen quality. Any better options considering i have a lil more budget?

Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendations.

Illegear seemed too bulky for my liking. Awesome specs though.

Will probably go for inspiron. Are the additional $$$ for XPS15 (RM4999) worth the dollar? Any difference display wise?

Hoho, the extra money is definitely worth it for the XPS15 or M3800 man brows.gif
I would definitely go for those any day if I have the money brows.gif

Anyway, try looking for bro putochip123, he appears to be having some sort of discounts for XPS15 and Precision M3800 icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi guys, looking for a portable laptop with good battery life and light gaming capabilities!

1. Preferred Brand: Any reputable brand
2. Budget: around RM4k
3. Usage: Mobile computing (light, decent battery life of at least 5 hours)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14"

Looking for an ultrabook (<2kg, <2cm) with light gaming capabilities (League of Legends, Diablo 3 at medium settings will do). Anything to recommend? This will be a more challenging find. THANKS!

Try to look for these:
14
"Lenovo
G400s, i5-3230M + Nvidia GT720M@RM1799, 4GB, 500GB, W8
G400s, i5-3230M + Nvidia GT720M@RM1899, 4GB, 1TB, W8

MIght be hard to find since they are old models, but since they come with Mobile processors, its worth the look.

Upgrade to at least 8GB RAM. Use remaining budget to put in a 128/256GB SSD (~RM300-700), that will help boost performance ALOT rclxms.gif
