the following statements are just for fun(no offense)
I feel that MBB should rebrand this card to "Maybank Visa Signature for mini market taukeh, lorry/trucks driver" because to maximize RM88 cash back permonth with 5% rebate rate you need to spend RM1760 on either grocery or petrol or combine of both (for example RM880 for grocery and RM880). Failure to do that you have to cut the card next year before aniversary except MBB decided to be generous to waive the AF.
Says you max up 1760 exactly like most of the prosumer in this forum did for all the cards (to maximize rebate and not to let the bank win a cent) you actually spent RM21,120 per annum and you are still lack of 28,880 before your AF is waived automatically.
I bet most of the prosumers here have other card for utilities payments that provide cash back in different way. To fill the gap of another RM28,880 for 28800 TP that equivalent to RM 115.2 or 0.4% CB could be tricky for regular consumer. except elites like GENXY that may want to buy a Rolex, but i bet he has other card like MBB VI or AMEX premier that give him 5X TP and better enrich miles conversion.
Also, don't forget about the RM50 GST (maybe abolished 2015, maybe not), of course you can offset it using partial 28800 TP you may had earn to offset that.
hence i strongly suggest that all lorry/trucks drive who earn 100k per annum should apply for this card. Providing diesel is considered in the rebate category.
I think someone in MBB must had discover the prosumers bahavior here in LYN and had decided to come out with this card to challenge them to "maximized" it. Any one here can come out with a plan to maximize the benefits of the card?

QUOTE(pspfan @ Jul 24 2014, 01:20 PM) i drive bus for a living... maybe i should apply for this.. Actually Any one who qualify for the card and willing to pay the GST/AF can own the card. Moreover you are a bus driver who own MBB WMC, MBB VI, MBB dual card premier, frequently fly around EURO/GC and enjoy driving VW/BMW. I see no reason why you should not apply if you wish to get the card

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jul 24 2014, 11:44 AM) Bro, next year when we got to use PIN, wave cards would be very convenient. In Australia, for transactions under AUD100, can use my wave cards without PIN. Yes boss.. I can confirm that from 2015 , paywave/paypass transaction will NOT be subjected to PIN in Malaysia

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jul 24 2014, 12:59 PM) in terms of cashback, i prefer PBB VS..this card wins on the PPL access. it is good to see banks breaching the RM50 cap. will CIMB counter with a better offer? PBB VS is far better if you already have amex to cover ppl access

One point to note. 5TP for every RM charged in foreign transaction. Thats equal to 2% CB with no limit.
