QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jul 24 2014, 12:59 PM) in terms of cashback, i prefer PBB VS..this card wins on the PPL access. it is good to see banks breaching the RM50 cap. will CIMB counter with a better offer? PBB VS is far better if you already have amex to cover ppl access

QUOTE(raptar_eric @ Sep 25 2015, 04:46 PM) i swipe most of the stuff using my VS, unless there is promo for other banks/cards... for whatever online transaction that does not grant me rebate, i use VS, especially paypal/ebay, as i still gain 5x points, same like AMEX.... and also, i pay my insurance annually, therefore use VS as well... reload touch n go, use VS as well, at jaya grocer, got 5% rebate sumore, tested and confirmed nowadays, 5x amex points not much worth to me, so i prefer VS points > amex points unless i redeem vouchers.... VS points can convert to cashback at 400:RM1... VS got 5x treat points?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 15 2016, 03:36 PM) Maybe for the fun out of it, I will apply this card too for everyday's petrol and groceries. In case I will cancel my Wise. Go for it, 1st year annual fee is free. Some more no minimum spending requirement for 5% cash back for petrol and grocery, cap of RM88

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 18 2016, 04:23 PM) Just applied this card via online and it says "it is approved by principle". Well, let's hope for the best that it will be officially approved. Add on: We have reviewed your application, regrettably your application is unsuccessful. How come they responded so fast, within few hours (over weekend some more)? QUOTE(kengyan @ Sep 22 2016, 10:13 PM) Nope, total rm50000 a year, else prepare to pay rm550. Ask for waiver, if they don't waive, cancel it, and reapply again 3 months later

QUOTE(kengyan @ Sep 23 2016, 07:09 AM) Why want to waste time like this? If you can't hit the target and the spending, better don't apply. Don't think is wasting time at all. Just to optimize the card that is more customer friendly, Ie more flexible

QUOTE(kengyan @ Sep 23 2016, 05:00 PM) Let's see, you are saying that using this card to get rm88 a month then if cannot get AF waived will cancel the card while hoping they will waive it. So the actual cash back is rm506 which is 2.39% a month even if they refuse to waive it. Indeed it does make sense. How come I never think of this? All my effort wasted for engaging a heavy TNB spender and convince him he no need to waste time on post office to pay his rm3000 bill just to get the AF waived. Why 2.39%? It is 5% for MBB VS and 6% for PBB VS. Why have to pay annual fee? If they don't waive, I just cancel. After that reapply again few months later, so it's another year of free annual fee I don't and never pay any bank that charge annual fee. There are always alternative cards in the market that offer free annual fee. Don't let the bank take us for granted

QUOTE(kengyan @ Sep 23 2016, 06:21 PM) Well, I'll make sure I can hit that requirement for free AF before I apply. Or make sure the cash back gained are worth to offset the AF. Suggest redo the maths before keep on saying MBB's VS are giving you 5% if you need to pay the AF. My position is very clear, no annual fee, so no need to include. Why pay annual fee when others can provide free?

QUOTE(kengyan @ Sep 24 2016, 03:47 PM) So by cancel the card, you are expected they will call and retain you, right? Your idea really good. If can't waive, just cancel. Then reapply back again 3 months later, repeating again
