Guys, want to ask anyone having any problem with sticky handbrake. This usually happen when I wash the car and leave it for a day. The next day when I released the handbrake and as I start to reverse I can hear a loud thud sound at the rear wheel.

Searching for answer so far the plausible reason is the rust causing the rear brake shoes to stick on the drums.

I think I encountered the same issue after raining especially overnight, first time release in the morning will hear this 'sticking ' sound....is this claimable?

I'll be going for my 2nd service soon and I'll ask them what can be done.

just use Waze, I find its annoying that music is paused when the voice guidance is speaking..

sorry to hear that man. wow. 2 months is a very long time. the SA must be incompetent one.

I guess I am not the only one. My SA told me yesterday but its already Friday and he is insistent that the car will arrive this week. I lost my appetite already. Thinking whether i should cancel or not as I am not desperate for a car. Can i cancel?

I reported my delay to Proton via Facebook on Wednesday and today the branch manager called me up to inform that the car will be arriving in two days.

My SA has been telling me that for like ages now. 1st it was within 7 working days, then the next week and week after and the week after that. Even his apologies sounded so cheap nowadays... Last I was told that I will get the chassis no. by the 8th and then they told me its going to be the week after which was last week. Up till now, yilek! Zilch, Nil, nothing... To so called soften me up, they offered cash rebate for my tinting upgrades worth RM600 after discount + another RM400... I just want my gawd damn car. Its not like I didnt pay for it. Sheeshh...

Sorry guys just did my service but was informed sticky parking brake was due to car load? Maybe heavy? Hope someone else had better luck with reasonable solution. Have to live with it for the time being.

I whatsapp my SA, no reply yet.
I am thinking to cancel the car if i dont get it by end of year.
Or else i would ask for bigger rebate.

Sorry to hear that, I think that's a BS excuse, my car almost always driven with 2 persons on board (me & my wife), backseat is empty & nothing much in the boot.

Looks like we need to bring this to another service centre.

Hmm.. Seem like your SA not honest like me lor , I already told all my customer I can't find any new stock for this .my customer that book car from last month 1week still waiting ...

I heard some dealers have confirmation that they will get the stocks today. Managed to speak to one of them this morning but cant reach my SA to confirm that he got the stock as well or not.

Update: My SA waiting for turn to get stock. Hurm.

i guess dealers are holding back stock.

They just got the confirmation that they will get the stock only today. Now they are waiting for the cars to be delivered.

just checked with my boss , dont have such things informed on my dealer . you sure that news boleh percaya ?
