The main interchange station in Klang got some problem, probably there is no interchange at all with KTM because there is a clash between 3 sides (MPK/Prasarana/KTMB) with the location in the heritage complex and far from current KTM Klang. Prasarana reluctant to pay for new station and KTM want to remain the old station and building new on-going parking construction happening in old KTM station. Got this last time I call from all these involve parties.

No parking confirm yet for Prasarana, MPK going mad on them about the location.

if there is no interchange in Klang so only 2 left in Glenmarie and Bandar Utama which is in PJ not in KL. This LRT3 planning kinda dope you know. Why this LRT connecting PJ to Klang why not Klang to KL as they planned with the canceled BRT main priority. They should be extended route directly to KL Sentral and MRT 3 in future if they don't this line will be the worse planning ever!

its just likes mrt museum and kl sentral, as soon as its covered and link, security and convenient will be fine for interchange.

Depends on how the Selangor government authorities manage the contractors traffic mitigation plan.

I afraid in the case of Malaysia there is no difference at all. LRT own by Prasarana build by PDP, MRT operate by Prasarana but own by MRT corp.

Well from my limited knowledge..
MRT is for longer distance & can carry more people...
While LRT is for within City usage..

mrt1 SBK can carry 20000 passengers per hour per direction.

Comparing the feels riding the existing LRT and MRT, the MRT feels more wider..it is good they increase the cabin capacity to carry more people..

Or LRT and MRT is no different in term of purpose and functionality..just like in tokyo they have metro and JR which the difference are the line we are using hmm.gif

But there is also limitation on upgrading the cabin where the elevated structures can only sustain for designated self and live load.. brows.gif
