lrt3 can carry 36720 passengers per hour per direction

mrt1 SBK can carry 20000 passengers per hour per direction.

You do the math.

I am sure MRT supposed to carry more people. MRT is more superior than LRT.

MRT is bigger and faster. Maybe SBK line expected to have less passengers.

LRT Kelana Jaya line obviously more passenger than MRT should it upgraded to MRT? No because it already serves the purpose and there is no difference both MRT and LRT in Malaysia because capacity is the same as well stations coverage.

45km Ampang line - KL, Puchong, Ampang,
46km Kelana Jaya line- KL, Gombak, Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya
51km SBK line KL, Kajang, Sungai Buloh, Petaling Jaya, Cheras-Selangor
37km Klang line - Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Klang

Non of this LRT stay in within city almost all travel between cities works same like MRT, in the available capacity also design for the same purpose.

Then , they should just used LRT only, because they cost less than MRT.

klang people capacity, 700k+
KL people capacity, 700k+

klang is highest capacity in Selangor.

if is not, no LRT come to klang.

I dun know why LRT 3 cannot connect to KL area ?

LRT 3 should be go LRT KLCC station directly !
*yes exchange in glenmarie station.

any LRT 3 link to other line ? only 1U MRT and klang KTM ?

any news about skypark railway ?
no further news after announcement.

LRT is much easier to build and efficiency. Actually, for Malaysia the cost of MRT and LRT did not give much difference, you see MRT SBK 20billion cost for 51km this including the undergrown network. LRT3 cost 9 billion for 37km, without no underground route and use much cost-effective construction U-trough still cost 9 billion. In MRT each km will cost 1 billion cost for undergrown so it added much costly construction. Imo they should just build MRT directly since it just about the same function and cost.

MRT=Mass RT whereas LRT=Light RT, I think the name speak for itself. Perhaps the current MRT is not running on full carriage capacity cos they r not expecting huge passenger, tats Y it's only 20,000 per direction for MRT which is lower than the current LRT capacity. If u look at the LRT train wen they stop at the station, dont think can add anymore carriage to increase the load unlike current MRT carriages which r quite short.

Why no KL? is just bad planning by prasarana, although there still possible for LRT in BU to be extended through Sungai Kayu Ara hading towards Penchala move undergrown and having an interchange with MRT3 in Mont Kiara, Sri Hartamas. MRT 1 interchange Pusat Bandar Damansara, Telawi and end at last interchange in KL Sentral. Hopefully, they already got some extension planning in future. Otherwise, this LRT is the most useless interchange at BU and Glenmarie not directly to KL.

Maybe LRT 4, etc or MRT 3, etc will create more interchanges with existing lines. Dont think V can stop at just LRT 3 & MRT 3 if v wan to have a comprehensive transport system for Greater KL.
