ya after this every house will be close to KL n will have HK prices.. gov shld build medium cost apartments near some of d stations as I'm still doubtful of a majority of the upper-middle class (13k n above) commuting to work by train tongue.gif

yap kor, LRT costs cheaper to build right? south klang area really needs public transport. Even a realignment of d KTM in Klang will do but there are several useless stops like Angkasapuri that's making the journey longer

I don't think the government can afford to build another MRT lor.. that's why cut cost by building noisy LRT

agree 100%. Each station mus be accompanied with 1k plus carpark nearby with park n ride facilities. Even the klang KTM station only has 100 ish carparks when there's numerous dilapitated shops that can be converted to multi-storey carparks.

btw, mega infrastructure projects like the MRT n LRT are off balance sheet items (most of the time)..

anyway gov't will do everything to complete these projects. they should scrap all the new highways n just build the LRT 3 n MRT2..

No news on the alignment just yet.

If can commence work by mid 2016 is considered very good. Completion by 2021 earliest based on how slow they are with the current LRT.

Btw,

Prasarana first said that the LRT extension would be complete by 2014 n then delayed to 2015 n now SAME time with MRT Sg buloh to Damansara Heights although they began work YEARS before the MRT.

2021 is ambitious by Prasarana's standards.
